this is THE musical i'm still waiting for and i will forever wait for, because it's what we all need. Been listening to these songs since 2020 and i always talk about this with my friends. i loved the book so much and i really didn't like the movie that was made for it. listening to these songs was already better than the whole movie. and these songs still hold up. i think the topic of mental illness is more relevant than ever and it will continue to be this way, so i think this musical would help so many people in so many different ways. it's what we need. and i'm just gonna say this, but if this musical doesn't get as much if not more attention than dear evan hansen, then i don't know what to do, honestly

When my mom died in 7th grade, I was slowly falling into a depression spiral. 8th grade came, I was cutting and having a breakdown every week. I found this musical and read the book and it gave me so much hope. I related to this character so much. I felt so misunderstood, lonely, and all alone to figure what I was supposed to do. Now I’m a Sophmore in high school, and have found this musical again. I want this to be my first ever Broadway show. This show needs to happen, there are so many kids like me who don’t know what they need. This is the 2020 version of Hamilton. This is going to be so amazing. Thank you Drew and cast💕

I remember listening to this when it first came out 3 years ago, screaming it at the top of my lungs believing i understood how craig felt from head to toe but man this hits differently now I actually went throught these feelings head on. Bloody powerful lyrics to portray such an important story that shaped me and made me feel less alone. This has gotten me through the worst and weirdly I don't think I would be who i am without it.

I think that's kind of what makes it okay. They are different, & that means to amazing different musicals. I feel like both kind of focus on a certain degree of suicide, anxiety, & depression if that makes sense.
