You shouldn't have left skunk out, its the most popular strain ever , White widow was named because it was so packed in trichs that it literally looked white, and northern lights was the first strain suitable for indoor growing, that's why it became so popular.

Gg#4 is a x between chem sis, choc diesel and sour dubb and was called gorilla glue because of how stucky it is. #4 was the most popular one they was a handful of seeds popped and they were numbered! Still one of my fave strains not had it for years!

Had most of these, amnesia was first weed I remember feeling properly hung over off of the next day. I'd put skunk in tier 1 too, it's what mainstream UK media still use as a catchall for all modern weed and its the only strain of flower I used to get when I started 25yrs ago, then it was hash, standard Thai type weed or skunk

I was gonna have skunk no1 on the list but this is a list of the most known to the least known. Skunk no1 is really hard to pin point just how famous or not famous it actually is. Most normal people don't even understand that skunk is a strain and not just a word for high grade.

Usually that just means you probably have some solid people keeping the strains alive. a lot of the strains I used to get as a kid went away completely because people stopped growing them here once Cali packs started being the new wave prices got too low to justify the risk then things got legalized so they just do it for themselves or not at all.

Had the pleasure of trying northern lights back in 2018 when a friend of mine grew some. I remember giving it a really positive review on Leafly and thinking I was the absolute tits because I had tried a strain that was supposedly quite hard to find over here 😅 was genuinely a good bit of bud though. Anything with a higher CBD content and a much lower THC content will be your best friend. Indica is the keyword for sure. THC can add to anxiety and paranoia in many people so you want something with less of that to avoid the risk. You can find CBD blends and herb that can really help. ❤❤❤

Different stains work differently for different people but the india/sativa thing is a bit of myth, especially nowadays now we have a better understanding of terpenes and other cannibinoids. CBD doesn't necessarily reduce anxiety, in fact taking big dabs of it has the opposite effect for me. Look for strains high in myrcene and cbn.

allot of it all comes down to personal experience, it’s rlly hard to know what works for you off other people’s experiences, you can have a rough idea but that’s about it. id recommend learning about different terps and how they effect you when you smoke. try identifying some of the terps/scents you get from your bud before smoking aswell as looking at the terp profiles after👍

Go to Amsterdam and it is definitely not the cheapest option , I went to Amsterdam with 3 other lads and as soon as they all started ordering multiple weeds and hashes from the first cafe we got to for their mixed spliffs, I chose the better option and stick to one strain my favourite- white widow , after we all sat at a table and hit our spliffs for 10 mins I noticed the lads that mixed their spliffs were all looking real paranoid putting their heads down and barely smoking anymore , I clocked on to this behaviour and started getting the giggles at them it was that funny the table behind me started laughing with me at them , it was the most fu*ked up but really funny moment of our time out their . So take note kids stick to one strain early doors 🤣🤣

Mindset can play a part as well I think. You went the “I’m having a smoke and taking it easy” and did so whereas others have a “let’s get fu**ed” attitude. Then when they get really messed up really quickly their brain tells them they are actually Fu**ed up as that what they wanted, so they think they are fu**ed up. Its an easy snowball to start especially in public. It’s kind of a self inflicted injury in some instances.

I’ll always have a soft spot for some good cheese Edit: I remember once, me and my friends took mushies and went for a huge trek around this big woodland near where we live. We bumped into some hippies that were living out of a van and just travelling around, they were sat around a fire and we decided to go and say hello, they happened to me some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. We got onto the topic of weed after about 5 minutes of talking, they had a big jar of northern lights, I’d never had it before. They gave us around a 20s (don’t take weed from random people you’ve just met btw) so we rolled up and had a smoke. It was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve had with weed, I think northern lights is a very ‘love-it-or-hate-it’ kind of strain, but I absolutely loved it. Haven’t had a chance to try it since that day but I hope I get the chance to again one day

berner did NOT make GSC. It came from a dude who was friends with B Real and Deep East. Berner had nothing to do with it. And OG Kush came from Florida. Triangle Kush was one of the cuts from the first batch of OG and that too was grown in a garage in florida.

cannabis would definitely be considered psychedelic and I've had psychedelic experiences on edible cannabis many times. I haven't heard of anyone having a psychedelic experience just from simply smoking weed though, not in the same way as eating it. Look into a book called 'The Hasheesh Eater by Fitz Hugh Ludlow' give that book a read, it will most likely answer many of your questions regarding cannabis and the psychedelic experience.

Some landrace sativas like the Thai have that effect. Not quite as pronounced like mushrooms but they do nevertheless. If you have the patient to grow a 12-16 week strain go for it. I'm pretty sure you can find some seeds online but make sure it's a Thai sativa landrace not the remastered stuff from the seed banks. Sativas give me anxiety and running thoughts but if i could've I've definitely would've gave it a try

Northern lights is 1 of my favorite strains I'm a medical marijuana patient in Ohio and Firelands society makes a Northern lights strain that has a strong powerful buzz to it I'd choose it over 95% of the new age fruity smoke's that don't cast a shadow to the strength of it

Northern Lights is definitely my top pick. I’ve never had anything else that resembles the specific kind of effects it offers. It makes me feel like I’m dreaming and watching a beautiful nights sky. Completely calming with a unique hashy taste that I love too. Never gave me the mind racing effects that aren’t enjoyable or beneficial to me whatsoever. It’s either 100% sativa or 100% indica to me. Most of the stuff in between has the potency sure but that doesn’t matter when the “high” (more like low) consists of a heavy cloudy daze. There’s nothing enlightening about that. It’s as if people starting trying to make weed into heroin. More of a hard drug psychedelic concoction VS just a pure peace inducing trip like it’s supposed to be.

I live in europe and i have been smoking for about 10 years now, we have had some amazing strains during that time. One of the best ones i have ever had was blueberry, it was so fucking strong and smooth, caked in trichomes, smelled and tasted better than every blueberry muffin i have ever had and every bud was perfect, no pgr shit and i have never seen ash that white before. We also hade some very very good amnesia thats also in my top 5, but amnesia starts to taste bad if you smoke it for a while, everyone who only smoked amnesia for like a week will confirm that 😂. The second best strain i have ever had was some home grown super lemon haze i got from someone i knew, super lemon haze is very comon here but this batch was so damn good, i have had good super lemon and lemon haze hundrets of times but nothing even close to the perfection of that batch, it was like 10€/g but it would probably pay like 30-40€/g right now just to have a gram off that perfect super lemon haze again. During the last years gg#4 has become available from time to time and its also pretty good, especialy for my cronic pain problems, i really like that strain if its grown right. Then Critical, this strain has been around for a while but i have not seen it during the last years, it can also be really good if its grown right. Super silver haze, probably the most common haze strain next to lemon haze, its just average, nothing special but i like it just because it has that really old "weed" taste that some of us remember from many years ago. I started to microdose about 3 years ago with dry herb vapes and i dont even need 1g per month anymore so i rarely buy a bag but i always keep an eye out for special stuff and when i find something i really like i have it for months which is so damn nice, i wish i already did that when i got those really special amazing batches years ago, 1g would last me for months now compared to not even a day back then, but im sure i will get my hands on some amazing stuff in the future and save it for a long time in some moisture regulated jars 😁

It was NYC diesel with out the sour. tasted like oil. I was not sure when I 1st smoked, I actualy thought it as soaked in diesel. I wasm't to keen, I was impressed with the sour diesel in early 2000's and the chiesel was better than the NYCD 'terp wise', personally.

You've got to try Mr Nice's Black Widow. That's the real one. You're right it's not the tastiest, but that's not what it's about. Its about that electrifying cerebral high. Concentrates bring the flavor out though.

Maybe a supplementary episode to the Weed Iceberg series with Olde Skööl Legendary strains like Matanuska Thunderf*ck and the various Rainbow/White Buffalo and/or landrace/perennial strains. and whatever happened to anything with that Zimbabwe strain Franco Loja & Strain Hunters / Greenhouse Seeds brought back with a unique Cannabinoid profile? At least some of us still remember when indoor grown was very rare novelty & every year without fail from September thru mid-lt October was the *proverbial* DRY SPELL..

Im a european portuguese underground weed smoker and i dont even know most of those strains XD only the real mainstream ones are amnesia, OG kush, Ak 47, white widow, super skunk, lemon haze, orange , gorilla kush, purple haze, critical and obviously Moon rocks that´s my list, variables usually are influenced by colors, tastes, strength and popularity For me those experiences are diferent i got yellowed by ak-47 and you said was "weak" but i also have tryed all of those i mentioned with high quality and i can say it only matters the way that you grow your shit, i also tryed candy kush, poison hivy, cheese and lemon skunk strains and im looking for sun rocks and moon rocks with high THC value, display and flavorous strains
