I remember the fireweed on Mount Baker back in the 1970’s. We really liked skiing in the sun shine on Mount Baker…the ice crystals that formed on the snow were breathtaking.

We went camping all the time. My mom and dad and us five kids. One time my mom forgot to bring a pancake flipper so we had to use a saw to flip the pancakes. We used to take long hikes and go swimming.

@@drewsimms I am so sorry about the break in of your Jeep and especially for the loss of your backup hard drives. It will be a minor setback in your long and successful career and life, but it does take away your innocence and the good feelings that you had about humanity. You will probably never know who did this to you and you will now have to live with sophisticated alarm systems. So many van lifers get broken into and then they install alarm systems. Unfortunately you are most often in areas without any type of cellular signals, even with devices that magnify weak signals, there still has to be something to magnify.

Was in the Mt. Baker area in August as well!! We tried to do a summit hike/climb but looks like bad weather turns us around. Coleman glacier looked crazy tho!
