With a single exception, who I will not spoil who it is because it's still a recent revelation in game, all Vidyadhara can trace their lineage back to the days when Long the Permanence roamed the stars. They don't remember it due to the Hatching Rebirth process, but the first life of all Vidyadhara lived when Long was still around. Long is the only entity in the universe who is, at the moment, capable of creating new, true Vidyadharan life. Which is a serious problem for the Vidyadharans, as it's simply a matter of time through attrition, or simply the loss of the Xianzhou Alliance, that they will be driven to complete and total extinction. If a Vidyadharan dies and is unable to be brought back to the waters of the Scalegorge Waterscape to be reborn, that is one less Vidyadharan. And for that matter, without access to the Scalegorge Waterscape, a Vidyadharan will simply die of old age. Meaning that if the Luofu is lost, the existence of the Vidyadharans is set in stone: Extinction. A lot of people seem to miss that part about Dan Heng's permanent banishment from the Luofu... It was an execution. A death sentence. None of the Xianzhou wanted to be the ones responsible for the death of Feng or his successor. So they simply sentenced him to death by old age. Without access to Scalegorge Waterscape, after approximately 700 years, Dan Heng simply would have collapsed dead of old age and died like a normal Human being.

I’m sorry y’all but all Vidas (dragon kin) cannot produce offspring, their aeon long the permanence made it so that everyone would never die of old age but be reborn constantly. They can still die and because of it their population is dwindling, and they can’t do anything about it since they cannot reproduce like other life forms. Although I will say, I hope we can get a dating feature for all those simps.

I guess that’s was the point. Fu Xuan is thinking that despite how Vidhiyadaras normal biology works there’s a possibility. Stelle was basically brought to life with a stellaron in side her, it might also be able to help them ..ehem… create life with Dan Heng. (It would probably be considered abominable by the Luofu rules. At least they really didn’t like when Dan Feng “rebirthed” his fallen foxian friend into Bailu.)

If one Vidyadhara egg gets destroyed or even one reincarnation is failed,the Vidyadhara population will never recover. Like let's say there's a 100 of them, if 2 dies, there'll always be 98 till someone else dies. It's the greatest flaw of their species. There are mirage echoes also talking about trying to make it possible to produce offsprings once again. Yes,once again because there was a time they could reproduce but not anymore. Probably they'd regain the ability again someday. Would be kinda cute if Dan Heng has a kid XD but knowing Hoyo, it's impossible. They want to present all the characters as kissless virgins.
