When you are using hoppers to move items around, it’s always a good idea to put a solid block on top of them. This has two benefits: it keeps them from picking up unexpected items, and it reduces lag because they stop searching for items to suck up. It used to be you’d want to use something like a composter, but that isn’t necessary anymore. Just a full-size, solid block will work (so not mud, soul sand, and the like).

Oh, I know NitFlickwick! And you'd think I would have remembered, but no. And boy did I pay for it. There is now a nice little line of tuff on the top of them all, to match the froglight farm(and then carpet). I just have to stop thinking about how many froglights I have lost because of my stupid oversight. But thank you for thinking to make this comment, it's a helpful thing to note, especially with the change from needing composters and the like. I think I might pin this comment for others to see.

Thanks Spoon. The walls look sort of dark blue from some angles and black from others, so they are interesting.

Braver than me! I didn’t know that a certain configuration of blocks would disable the spawner. Good to know. Word of advice..frogs do take cold damage too, so I would have some spare frogs stashed somewhere nearby for replacement. 😉 I love the giant room and would leave the walls dark. It is quite dramatic. So, moving the portal dropped you into a huge cave, with no indication of where the exit is? Great vid, and I was right, your idea of ‘big’ is so much bigger than most folks’. One of the reasons your episodes are so much fun!

Thanks for the warning Suzi. I shall make a frog holding pen for spares. When I get out of that darned cave. I think this build may have been too big.

Can confirm - “the joint is jumping” is a very popular American phrase… from the 1930s and 40s 😅😅😅. Dreyma- you never cease to amaze. Thank you for sharing your artistry and your humor.

Beautiful farm, Dreyma! You are very brave. For me, bastion is the scariest place in the nether. So much lava and magma cubes, and a lot of piglins, you never know what to expect from them. But you did a great job!

Thanks may. It helped that I had already cleared out the brutes earlier - they are terryifying! But wow, the skeletons and ghasts constantly spawning in made it so much worse. I love being there now with the carpet holding everything at bay

I recently came across your channel and love your stuff. Not to bash any other creators, but some of them are way too over the top IMO. I love just watching someone who is very knowledgeable and chill playing the game, makings cool and intricate farms, someone with a lot of insight on creativity this game has to offer. Such a nice change of pace and vibe :3

You could make the walls half panelled in vertical boards and have the wall paper top bit be blue with white clouds. Like a 80/90's kid's themed room and the farm as a terrarium 😁

Ribbit .. i mean Hi Dreyma .. love how although edited for video length purposes you still showed the whole process {so many people cut to tada look what i made} in a very entertaining manner .. which i am sure was anything but for you, what with the waiting around & the skeleton {i felt that ouch} & the clearing out ect .. i love frog lights & frogs but have never seen them sliding around before lol .. i love the frog in a sock :) .. im glad you figured out the sorting system before you left bad junk items! .. as for the walls it's a matter of what you feel would fit the rest of the look you are going for. Thanks for the great video {oh & also YAY jungle go back for saplings ;) }

There was soooooo much process Clare that I didn't want to just ignore it. I thought about the door and the shelf as I made my way down, which I am so glad about, but I only thought of the cornice, the paintings and the walls when it was fully cleared. Three cheers for scaffolding, and for the stairs in the end wall.

Well done all around! Love rhat i found your channel. Your editing style is a playful romp in a weary world. The carousel music was perfect fir the occasion! I like the dark walls as they highlight the rest of your great features in the room. Thought if you really want to add detail to the walls, maybe coal or obsidian, to weave a spiral key pattern or herringbone texture that would be subtle yet striking once noticed? Dunno🤷‍♂️, just keep having fun, and it'll all come out right to be sure!

Got to love frogs on ice xD I like the dark walls, but I'm sure you could make them work in a different colour too. The room makes me think of the "giant house" at. our lokal amusement park. It was just two simple rooms and already old when I was a kid, but I used to always want to go there anytime we visited. Sadly I made the mistake of revisiting it as an adult and learned that some memories are better left as memories. But your build takes me back to the fun I had there as a kid

Wow...this video makes it look quicker than it was...I know because I am currently still working on a treasure bastion. Those things are super dangerous. The dark blocks hide dangerous holes in the floor. Plus, they are HUGE. I'm really just there for the gilded blackstone, but I also found the netherite upgrade template and the snout banner pattern. I want to eventually tear it completely down but I want to get down to the lower level and get rid of all that lava first. Yes, I'm accessing it from the roof. I suppose I may build a froglight farm when I'm done tearing down the bastion. The thought of getting frogs out there seems kinda crazy...but what else do I have to do. Do you realize that you are building mainly lighting farms..? Sea Lanterns, End Rods, Frog Lights. I feel a witch hut farm in your future...glow dust AND redstone dust...just kidding...you can easily buy that stuff from your clerics...
@Dreymasmith

It was an ENORMOUS undertaking Arthur. Took about 36 hours to clear out the bastion and then at least another eight (?) to do the decorating. Although the roof I did before I cleared out too much (I worked top down too) and I did the door as I progressed. I don't think I'd have managed otherwise. And yes, these are lighting farms. There is method to the madness, which will be revealed soon.
