I love it too. In the film Young Frankenstein there is a line where it is said, This happened five times before. I think Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman is one of the times they're talking about.

I was one of those kids who saw it on my TV in 1957. And indeed it did blow my mind. My mother had gotten us a TV in 1952. I grew up on old movies...that formed the person I became.

Love this movie. I agree 💯, Bela Lugosi did a good job playing the monster. This film has a special atmosphere that I’ve always loved. Btw, that picture of Dr. Igor is fantastic! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BELA LUGOSI!!!

The movie that inspired Paul Naschy. A really enjoyable Universal monster classic. Thanks, Dr. Gangrene.

I also saw this on The Big Show and we loved Sir Pizza. Our Sir Pizza was in south Nashville, down Nolensville Road. My parents loved the square cut pizza and continued to eat at that Sir Pizza (even after they moved over to Bell Road) until they closed (Sir Pizza, not my parents).

How nice to see Dr. Igor get some love here. He was my horror host when I was a wee monster fan. His tag line: "How you are, kids?" When his hunchback pal, Plasma, announced, "Dr. Igor, Dr. Igor -- there's a worm in the hole in my head!" Igor replied, "Don't waste it -- it's MEAT!" Doc took his act to Denver briefly after his stint at WQAD, and then on to Tucson, where he was on the air well into the 1970s. Unfortunately, NO footage of the mad doctor exists!!!

The way it ends leads you right up to "House of Frankenstein". That picks up where Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman ends. BTW, will fellow Tennessee Horror Host Dr. Shock of Shock Theatre (Channel 9 & Channel 12 in Chattanooga) be saluted during this countdown? Just asking.

Dr. Shock and Ding at were great, but I'm focusing on first wave hosts that actually hosted the Shock package.

For the life of me dont see why they haven't remade this one by now with modern special effects! They redoing so many of the classic monsters in 2025/2026 so maybe will redo Frankie vs The Wolfman eventually.

I don't have any faith it would be good! But I'd like to see someone try.

How about Dr. Paul Bearer, who hosted Creature Feature on weekends in the mid-1970s on WTOG-TV, channel 44, in St. Petersburg, Florida?

I love Dr. Paul Bearer but am focusing on first wave hosts who actually showed the Shock package.
