बहुत बहुत धन्यबाद आपका। बहुत ही सही बात कही है आपने हम बड़े लोगो को ताल में बहुत ही मुश्किल हो रहा है। समझ मे नही आता क्या करे कैसे करें। मैं बाँसुरी सिख रही हुँ। स्थिति ये है कि ताल पे समय देने में सुर की स्थिति भी खराब हो जाती है।

Very well articulated Gopaji! I am not a professionally trained singer, but have accomplished a lot on my own. Based on my learnings, I question the normalcy to understand whys and wherefores. In my opinion, when one learns the Sur, the alankar is also sung with an implied Taal (i.e. there is some time spacing of the Surs being recited even when there is no Taal playing) so one can include breath control pauses. Furthermore, when Taal is introduced as a background in parallel with the alankar practice, the progress is accelerated as it becomes more interesting and less boring. Singing Sargam without Taal can become monotonous. Combining Sur with Taal up front provides a more holistic learning as humans more favorably tend to react to musical beats

Kya madam, ye video aapne kaise banaa diyaa....I have been learning for about 5 months now and focussed only on sur (which is improving). I am not naturally in taal...yesterday, I was thinking I should have learnt taal first or atleast both swar and taal at the same time and thought which one to focus on more. Aur aapka ye video aaj hii aa gayaa! I learnt that one must count beats in mind while singing or playing harmonium. It looks impossible to do this while concentrating on sur (singing or harmonium).

Namaste, I am from Nepal. Dr. Gopa Chakrabarti, you are right. When we initially focused only on the Taal (सुरअनिबद्ध Or तालनिबद्ध) and the students did better in music than before. In the beginning, teaching sur (सुर) by completely neglecting Taal is like going to look for seeds without arranging the ground. It is very fast if one can count and say 1, 2, 3, 4 or Ka kha Ga Gha or A B C D without sur. The same thing happens when teaching other instruments. But for those who already have a sense of rhythm, there is no problem in teaching only sur. मेरे विचार में संगीत में ताल और सुर कहना बेहतर है, सुर और ताल नहीं।

গোপা জী নমস্কার🙏🙏আমি classical music শিখতে চাই ।আমার age 49+ আপনার কাছে অনলাইন শিখতে চাই।ছোট বেলার থেকেই অনেক ইচ্ছা ছিল।কিন্তু সুবিধার অভাবে পারিনি।আমি যেখানে থাকি সেখানে সুবিধা নেই শেখার। আপনার ভিডিও গুলো দেখে অনেক প্রেরণা পাই। ইন্টারমিডয়েটে মিউজিক ভোকাল নিয়েছিলাম। চর্চা না থাকায় ভুলে গেছি। অনলাইন কি আপনার কাছে শিখতে পারবো??please বলবেন 🙏🙏
