When i watch games like this, i can't imagine that as long as i watch football i will ever see a player who comes close to Messi's dribbling abilities between 2007 to 2015. Because it didn't even look human, when seeing a 19 year old gliding over the pitch with the ball glued to his feet, and leaving 5-6 defenders behind as if they weren't there... and it's not only that, he's also the only great player i remember along with Cruyff, who retained their high dribbling levels into their 30's. Most players start to deteriote in that area, with the age of 27/28, as it was the case with Pele, Maradona, R9, Ronaldinho etc. And even if he never was a two footed dribbler like Pelé, Best or R9 who had bigger versatility in their dribbling. He beats them all, since no one of them had that unbelievably close control in tight spaces like he had. And thank you for the vids Raheem. As always a pleasure watching them.

Nothing to add to this comment. I've said all that he's stated for years myself. Even on my twitter. I've said, Messi is the goat dribbler. Surpassing Pelé, Best, Cruyff, Maradona, R9, in that area. And yeah. Cruyff speed, atheleticism, dribbling was still intact. Well into his 30s just like Messi. For that reason, they're my two goat dribblers, because they had the longevity factor more than the other goats dribblers.

@@johnpacino007 thank you first of all. And yeah, Cruyff definetely was an all time great dribbler. However, in my opinion there are more players apart from Messi who were on the same, if not on an even higher level than him in that regard. Maradona, Best, Ronaldinho, R9 and maybe also Pelé, would be my candidates. But i understand why you rank him that high, simply due to the longevity factor. Which also shows that he was a natural dribbler since he could do it even when being past his absolute footballing peak. What would be your choices if you had to make a top 5 apart from Messi and Cruyff? Would only be interested.

@@Manuel-0_07 Yeah, Cruyff longevity factor, plays a crucial part in my decision. George Best was the " cleanest " dribbler I've seen. And he did it on god awful pitches, as well. Just didn't have the longevity factor. All Time T5 Pelé Di Stéfano Messi Maradona Cruyff Pelé & Di Stéfano were the two most complete players, in terms of attributes.

I really wish he wasn't struggling with injuries in his teen years God knows how many records he would've already set at those years He missed so many crucial games

At 19 was already the bpitw without doubt. Injuries robbed him of becoming the youngest ballon d'or winner ever.
