Dan, on my JZS147 GS300 the only wire I had to swap for the manual transmission swap was pins 5 and 6 of connector P1; which looks identical to the one you pointed out. Although on my car it was Black/white and Black; but in the same pin positions you looped. You can either loop them or run it to a clutch switch. Also if you want reverse lights assuming its' the same, it is pins 4 and 8 on the same connector connected to the transmissions' reverse light harness.

If the steering still feels a little on the heavy side - measure voltage on that rack solenoid at idle - If it’s anything like Nissan speed sensitive steering on r32/33/34 that solenoid should receive around 5-6v at idle/low speed and slowly decrease as wheel speed increases, down to around 1-2v at 100km/h - it’s used to allow light steering in car parks/low speed and heavier steering at high speed for more stability, but it requires input from your wheel speed sensors to function as per factory - Can fit an adjustable voltage step down converter and tweak the power input to allow more flow through the rack/tune how light you want your steering to a degree 😎 Keep up the rad work! 🤙🏾🤙🏾

gotta start using them p clamps right! they gotta hang from the bolt not sit above it
@RADIndustries4 жыл бұрын
No way dude. I use them both ways. Depends on the the area. In this case I wanted the clamps in this direction. I flip them over sometimes as well if it helps clear things in the way. The purpose of a p-clamp is to hold the given item in place. That’s it. If I was to only use p-clamps in the so called “right way” hanging from the bolt above. They would only be used on very rare occasions. But they are all throughout every car I build and the shop builds. Never had a p clamp failure yet.

First off no drift car project is cheap. Drift cars go through a ton of abuse. Another good platform with a 2jz is an is300. More and more companies are producing parts for both chassis. He got the sc300 because the chassis is very close to the Supra he’s very use to. Realistically you can do this build for well under 10k You can pick up a running manual sc300 for 2k If you cant find a manual swap to factory or the way he did it can be had for $1500 or less New clutch $500 Weld diff free or 50-100$ if you can’t do it Bc coils 1k Hydro brake $200 Hydro bolt on bracket from battle version $150 and you can use a 2nd pair of sc300 rear calipers from the junkyard for $50 build your own brake lines for $50 eBay intake $50 not necessary Cat delete cheap not necessary Bucket seat and rails $800 not necessary Also you can add a decent amount of steering angle by modifying the stock knuckles or send them to pbm and they’ll do it for $250 He’s just successful and a pro drift car driver and has his own shop so he has a ton of sponsors and a ton of extra parts but totally doable for cheap.
