Update log 10/26/19 Drift truck -fixes bug where the back suspension would move -adjusted shock dampening Other -shouted out the best KZbinr boosted John -added epic Fabium montage -added hammer back -added 10 foot shlong/vape
Couple of things I noticed: When installing suspension/braking/steering bolts I always use the aircraft standard, for their orientation. Meaning that you should have installed the panhard bar bolts, from the top, so that if the nut ever came loose, gravity would hold the bolt in place. All your bolts threads should point to the rear of the truck, for direction of travel, or down towards the ground to use gravity. Whenever possible, of course. The other thing, and I'm not so sure it's important for your drift truck; panhard bars are usually filled with lead shot or sand etc. to eliminate noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) being transmitted into the passenger compartment. Might be a cool video, filling the panhard bar with lead shot!! Great video, btw. Keep 'em coming...

Caleb, seeing all those sparks at 4:19 flying towards those clearly flammable cans made me really want to remind you that *you have already had a vehicle catch fire before*. Invest in a fire safe flammable cabinet. They're not very expensive. And it will save your shop and all your cars if one of those sparks decided to puncture the can and explode it. Propellant cans are insanely flammable.

Would a 4 link triangulated suspension be better? Then no panhard bar? Just curious ;)
@roachwerks30433 жыл бұрын
Since nobody ever answered, no, not necessarily. It takes a lot more work to get the proper roll center, that is the axis that the axle rotated about. And it’s Also counting on the rigidity of the suspension links and all the mounts. You can’t beat a direct acting panhard bar from the frame to the rear axle for both rigidity and easily adjustable roll center. This design from the original kit is really poor, and like a bare minimum for keeping the axle in line

Hey Gingium you should put the bolts holding the lanyard bar in from the top instead of the bottom that way if the nuts ever come loose the bolts won't fall out

Always put suspension bolts in from the top so if the nut comes off you are less likely to have a complete fail or at the very least not have to buy a new bolt.
