This is still as hilarious as when I last saw it in the 1990s, we used to wind people up at school with this ad!!!! We used to end our speeches with ""do you catch my drift? and our teachers used to look at us like eh which planet has he landed from??? :)

Same, my pocket money used to go on a drifter, a can and a comic, every week. Shame they don't make them anymore.

I loved this and still do. I love the well meaning attitude. And the marching exit is hilarious. Wouldn't be allowed these days sadly.

Shame the Tories flogged it off to Nestle who proceeded to wreck the company. Much like how Kraft wrecked Cadbury when the Tories flogged that one off.

this wasn't the 1990s it was the late 1970s

It was recorded from the satellite service BSB which started in March 1990. the recording date is November 1990.

@@chrisChris6969 deffo the 70s. Bsb used it years later. I left school in 76 n not long after drifter bars came out. All time classic advert 😂🤗🤣
