I like it because the other phases feel less bullet spongy. I imagine it's the same overall health pool, but having an extra phase with new attacks helps lessen that feeling whilst giving me something new to experience. Lots of fun!

Drifter seems so cool, if only a recycler would spawn. If only in 50+ stages a single recycler would spawn. Apparently, i used up all my luck on an amazing pilot run.

@@legitimatemedicine i’ve found a few, but both of them were in that pilot run. Either the chance is bugged, or they’re just really rare. Which is kind of fair, because they’re stupid strong. Like being able to turn drones, which can be collected like candy on halloween, into items, some of which are really strong, is ridiculously powerful, but if you’re gonna make them so rare, why attach a character to it? So yeah, pretty sure it’s bugged.

With Drifter you can jump onto a thrown Scrap Cube if you do a jump throw. And once you are on it you can start attacking to somewhat surf the cube. Works also fine if you just stand on it.

Fun sniper fact: You can hold X while backflipping to start charging the shot mid-air. Also, interestingly, while charging your X, it seems your momentum is preserved better (or, to put it another way, it feels like you have "less friction"). So if you backflip, starting holding X, and spam jump, you can actually get some _insane_ distance from the enemy. I feel like this mechanic is intentional since his backflip is specifically to create distance before lining up a shot.

Something a friend and I recently found with Drifter is that if you combine the Skull Ring (the item that decreases cool down with crits) and items that boost crit chance, you can break the game apart with a constant stream of temp items. I haven't done a run with the Scepter yet (the Skill upgrade item), but I imagine that with the previous strategy would break the game even more. My only disappointment with Drifter is that the Tempus artifact doesn't boost the items dropped by them. That would make playing with the artifact enabled way more fun.

Her default special is a cluster bomb arrow which is better than ROR2's Huntress's special imo. Oh and her Alt m2 is a teleport arrow.

Once you become cube-pilled it's hard to go back. During the trial I was wondering how useful it would really be, but *wow* that damage. And the fact that enemies attack it so it can be a decoy of sorts as well. So good. Oh also this was 2 weeks ago so I'm sure you know by now, but I'll mention it for others: If you drop a cube onto a magma worm as it's coming up, it absolutely chunks its health. I think it also works to just place a cube where it's about to come out, and hit the cube as the worm passes by.
