It's all in those very stringy sample cuts. I've however never liked the term liquid because it's just too broad and loosely used. To me this is just straight forward drum and bass.

@@Decoy303 I just see Liquid as afternoon DnB. Stuff for light listening, DnB is for parties haha. Also liquid tends to have a lot more vocals with lyrics outside of samples like DnB
