One of my favorite parts of drifting is that the cars have license plates on them. Just something about race cars on track with plates. Remind me of when you see pictures of NASCAR races from the 1950s and have the cars for registered cuz they had the drive them to the tracks. I just find that really cool.

So with the layout, instead of hard barriers or markers, make something you can adjust on the fly, so say barriers on wheels that you can lock in place. Gives a chance to always make it fresh, but to also have parts of each track that you can practice on and vary as needed.

Lz, I would recommend going around your compound track and cutting back all those tree's ten feet from the edge of the track. Having friends drift there with you, could get scary having caged car's and your friends head's, even with a helmet on. Just a thought..

Now that you've gone full track mode for the compound, you should set up some billboards for all your current and new sponsors in some of the sick zones, and maybe some traffic lights around the various junctions to signal when there's aggressive driving and testing going on.

If you get a concrete grinder out there to round off the transition between the old and new concrete (about a 2 ft wide strip) it won't be such an abrupt, jarring drop out and it will save your exhaust while still maintaining the wheel lift effect you want.
