Terrific video. Really captures the beauty of the Driftless Area and it's Trout streams. Well done.

Nice footage. Do you mount your GoPro on a head band?
@MarkMilleArt3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response, Troy. I've used a headband and also a chest mount. Both can be frustrating, but seem to be the only options when I'm fishing solo,

How much of the driftless area offers public access?
@MarkMilleArt2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay in replying (wish I'd be notified of comments). One of the amazing things of this beautiful area is the amount of public access available. Outside of wilderness areas, I'd be surprised if any other area of mostly private land in the country can match it. While there are scattered public lands (Fishing/Hunting grounds, State/County parks, etc., most of the land is private farmland. But the WI DNR has done a tremendous job in securing bank-side easements from private land owners that allow the public access for fishing (and fishing only). Probably hundreds of miles, in total. In addition, state law allows access at bridges if one “keeps their feet wet”. Common sense rules, of course if land is posted at those areas- no need to ask for trouble with so much water to fish. Also,the courtesy of just asking for permission from a farmer before going on their land will often provide more access. The DNR has maps available that show those easements, and provide other details on the streams. Cheers!

What is the of this River and and the name of the city or location ,can please sombody tel me !!!
@MarkMilleArt3 жыл бұрын
This is from the Driftless Area of SW Wisconsin, USA. The city of Viroqua could be considered the locus of the region. The saying is, drive 50 miles from there in any direction and if it looks like a trout stream it is.

It's off CTH E, (which parallels Mill creek) north of Hwy 14, west of Richland Center. Hopefully still standing...
