W205 Drive Belt, Tensioner and Idler Pulley Replacement | 2015 2.0 Turbo Mercedes C300

Had a noisy pulley that needed to be replaced. Glad I did because the belt was looking tired as well. Nice easy maintenance job which ended up not being my problem lol. I ended up replacing the alternator which ended up seizing not too long after this. This was a needed maintenance either way, but just for a heads up check your alternator pulley if your hearing noise as well!

What size serpentine belt did you use? For the Mercedes-Benz C3 00 I have a C3 hundred Mercedes 2016. I bought aftermarket serpentine belt and it does not fit at all. Please let me know what size to use.

Hey, that's a bearing going out. The balls are starting to shift around in the bearing race, causing them to rattle back and forth as the pulleys rotate. This is a common failure for every car in this age range. FWIW, there's a discount available at the dealership parts counter if you're an owner's club member.

It ended up being my alternator pulley. The whole alternator ended up seizing shortly after as I explained in my description. But after I replaced that she’s been good ever since. I filmed this almost a year ago now lol

Did the tensioner need to be held open to get the belt on?

When it’s brand new there’s a pin that keeps the tension off of it until you’re ready to pull the pin
