I got to get one of these, thanks for the awesome videos bud!

My pleasure. This is definitely a car built to take abuse! And cheap to mend if worse case you do damage it.

Indeed, I think it's pretty cool that they have so many variations of the Stampede.

I just purchased one of these for my son. i was curious if you use any shock spacers, because when we turn ours the back wheel lifts off the ground. any tips? thank you
@DriftomaniacsRC8 жыл бұрын
Now the back wheel does on this one, and on bigfoot no.1, it's more noticeable on tarmac/blacktop but it shows little signs of wanting to tip when it does it. The Axail Grave Digger also does the same thing. I will ask on tuning advice for you in my LHS. Give me a day or so. Only just back from a week away!
@KF-hb5vx8 жыл бұрын
wow your awesome dude. i was thinking of tryong some losi green springs in the front to stiffen it up a little bit not sure. anyways, cant wait to hear back drop you
@KF-hb5vx8 жыл бұрын
well looks like a found a solution. i just removed the preload spacer i had on there and kept it stock. seems to have fixed my issue.
@DriftomaniacsRC8 жыл бұрын
Hi I've just spoken with the man that knows a lot more than me about suspension and he says to add in a front preload spacer. Which in effect is I guess the same as keeping the front one and removing the rear one! I'd not forgotten - apologies for the delay though. So pre-load spacer inserted at the front but not the rear.
@KF-hb5vx8 жыл бұрын
Driftomaniacs interesting, I will have to try that. It seems to be working pretty good now that I have it stock. But I will have to try to add a spacer just on the front to see if it is even better. Thanks a lot!

@DriftomaniacsRC8 жыл бұрын
You've hit the nail on the head. It's super entry level truck, puts up with crazy abuse, and is cheap to get spares for. Everything included in the price inc battery and charger, although I'd say buy a good mains powered fast charger to anyone new to the hobby

You'll love it. We put it through some major abuse in our testing and it came through fine - love the tires and the bodyshell

Thanks. I did some checking on KZbin and it seems to be a heck of a truck. I'm 70 years old and as anxious as a 5 year old.
@DriftomaniacsRC8 жыл бұрын
Bill Dillon the thing is it's tough and it's very easy to work on, if things go wrong spares are cheap and as it's easy to work on it's quick to fix. You have to hit something hard to bust it. When you buy one you can put it in 'training mode' (See instruction manual) which gives you 50% power so you can get use to the truck at your own pace. Then set it to normal mode as you progress. Contact me anytime with any RC questions.

Someone on youtube tried your setup and said the motor ran to hot can you confirm if this is an issue now with this gearing?
@DriftomaniacsRC7 жыл бұрын
Okay this car ran on this video with the upgraded gearing, it still has the same gearing and the same motor months later on. The gearing upgrade we did? We tested about 6 combos before settling on this one as the best combination of speed vs heat. Some we tested ran faster but the motor can got hot way too fast. That's why we settled on this one. Hope that makes sense. A lot of it will also be down to how and where you drive the car e.g, I'd not recommend this combo for going through 3-4 inches of mud or 6 inches of grass
@FierceCards7 жыл бұрын
Driftomaniacs just wanted to confirm before I drop the cash to upgrade speed thanks for the quick response.
@DriftomaniacsRC7 жыл бұрын
No worries - I 100% understand peoples problems/issues with this, BUT we're still running same motor with no issues. Sure it gets warmer than stock but not Red hot unless you go crazy with it. Also battery type/size may play a factor in issues people have had. Hope it goes well! If you mainly run on road, light grass, loose gravel it should hold up well. (Although we've put ours through worse abuse than that!)

Nice i still dont know how your not cooking that titen12t my skully gets hot af on 19t by 90t gearing 😂 Oh just so you know you can get a nice brushless for around $30 on ebay ! Would love to see how it does on a cheap goolrc 3000kv brushless on 2s and 3s 😉

Try flat ground back flip with the out cast because mine can't do it with 6s
@DriftomaniacsRC8 жыл бұрын
Got bashing video coming up. But can't get it to do standing back flip yet. Advised to try 100k diff oil in middle diff and fit larger gear to pull it off, will try when I get a minute. Changing typhon gearing for speed run today

Put brushless in it
@DriftomaniacsRC7 жыл бұрын
Many have but the cost? New ESC plus brushless motor plus lipo? You could spend more than half the value of the car on that upgrade. I've seen other brushless ones on youtube which are crazy fast but I'd rather get something faster in the first place if that makes sense. Good idea for those with the money though.

Traxxas bigfoot or arrma fury?
@DriftomaniacsRC8 жыл бұрын
Well I would look at what you want from it. The Bigfoot looks better to my mind with it's MT appearance, parts are cheap and readily available (Which is a consideration - if you bust it will it be cheap to fix and can you spares within a couple of days - or even in stock at your local shop). More shops currently carry off the shelf traxxas parts. It's slower - It can hit the mid-high 20's easily. but the fury is much faster with about 50Mph out the box and 60mph with a simple pinion change. The Bigfoot would need a lot on money throwing at it to go that fast. They are both built out of plastic. The fury unlike the Nero, Outcast etc doesn't have lots of metal components in it so they will be similar weight. In summary you will probably find the Traxxas great fun for bashing with, if it's a first car I'd say Bigfoot. The parts are easy to get hold of and cheap, and being based on the stampede there are loads of upgrades out there, and it's easier to learn with., but it's not brushless. The arrma fury is much faster but parts availability is not the same and will cost more. They are both great cars. The Traxxas you will probably find slightly easier to work on though. So it's a case of do you want ultimate bashing ability and proven ability to take abuse (Bigfoot) or speed and more road focussed handling? I hope that helps. Good question but the answer depends on your thoughts on the above. Hope it all makes sense!
@pawdaypay8 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, man! I need some reference for my first hobby grade rc and this is helping! By the way, what I mean is arrma fury mega not the blx one. But, I must agree that bigfoot spareparts and upgrades are in fact easier to find than arrma fury. Thanks for replying!
