Well. I'm not sure? We have quite a few. They actually have their own room. We have 9 FPV Quads, 4 airplanes, 5 boats, 3 nitro crawlers, HPI Savage, Traxxas TMaxx, Red Cat Volcano. Electric, Emaxx, Slash w/ OBA, Tamiya Lunchbox, 6 WPLs, a Fanyee HEMMTT, a JJRC Osh Kosh, nd a Traxxas Rustler and about 30+ on road cars and trucks. Too many. For what we've spent we could have purchased BIGFOOT!!! Yeah, my kids say im addicted. I dunno?

Used to race motocross, there’s a product called SC1 we used to spray in front of the engine, under fenders, on plastics etc that made mud and dirt slide right off in the wash process. Would be super useful on bodies/undercarriage, places you might not want wd40. Plus it’s the best smelling thing on the planet

I'm just now looking at getting into this fascinating hobby. I mean I had a few RC vehicles when I was younger, but nothing of this sort. The closest was a monster truck that actually had both 2 and 4WD, which to me was mind-boggling at the time. Lol Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the tips, and I'll be watching many more of your videos now!

Thanks for these tips! I think I found a new passion. The best part is, if you get stuck or break something you can just pick it up! No tow trucks needed. A rescue scenario could be a cool thing to do with the crawler as well. Set one of your other cars in a tight spot and see if you can winch it out.

WD-40 has a degreaser in it. so it can be bad for gear grease and bearing grease. It can break it down over time. PTFE Silicone spray is a better alternative, and a plus is the driveshaft will thank you for the PTFE Silicone.

In my opinion pit bull tires are the best crawling tires out there. Well after breaking them in. Were great new but on another level after break in. My scx10 lll is a goat! It also has brass front amd rear bumper mounts (talking between the frame rails), front brass portal covers unner and outer, rear brass portal covers, and steel rock sliders. Removed the interear (it weighes 1 lb), lastly aluminum beadlock wheels. Going to put a VW Bug body in it to lower CG. Thats it. Shes a tank. Stock electronics. Never overheats. Like you say. Its a crawler not a speed buggy. Ill open it up to get over a rock, but 1, or 2 mph the rest of the time.

News normally exaggerates but not in this case, we have had quite a bit of flooding, Matlock where our Daughter lives copped it worse than I’ve ever seen it. Both the Derwent and Trent and the river Don burst their banks, it’s eased now but on Saturday past which is a good week after the worst I went through some bad flooding near Rowsley just off Chatsworth Grounds. The ground is water logged so we don’t need anymore bad rains or it will kick off again. We live halfway up a steep hill so we’re good. Got to feel it for those who aren’t. As fortunate. They will keep chucking houses up on land that’s known to flood, Dave x

Have you heard any buzz about a soon coming Axe Edition V2 of the Redcat Racing Gen 8 Axe Edition? I called them yesterday and inquired about why nobody appears to have any Gen 8 Axe Edition kits. They informed me I can get one from them. When I asked if they're working on a new model of the axe edition, he expressed he can't say yes or no, but he also hinted I may want to wait a little because their might be a V2 coming soon with huge improvements. I tried really hard to get more information on it, but he was only allowed to hunt to the strong possibility of it coming very soon, leaving off by saying to me the Axe Edition is a great RC truck I'll be very happy with, but also stating I'd be very happy with either truck (either being the Axe V1 or the Axe V2). I'm dying to know more. BTW, I also asked if said vehicle was about to be released, would it be more expensive or the same price as the current Axe Edition, and the answer was "The same price".

Just got our first crawler.. maybe it's a little cheap. HSP rock hammer. Wondering, why won't it roll, after release of throttle, it just stops. Out of box, I then trimmed throttle and it started to roll. Then I charged the batt(as I tested for 3min on delivered batt charge) and no matter what I do it won't free roll upon release of throttle. Faulty, or just a noob . ?

I wish I'd seen this video before buying a crawler in the first place... I bought a Redcat Racing Everest-10. It's been a journey learning literally everything on my own. Thanks internet. The owner's manual was actually quite useful considering I didn't know my ass from an ESC at the time. There's lots of super obscure things too like "hey, this one part is completely universal on every crawler"... Is it? Well, shit! I wish I'd know that before buying the one direct from Redcat Racing because I could get one half price elsewhere. I added dual steering. I'm disappointed that the "3ch radio" that shipped in the crawler doesn't actually use channel 3. Come on!!! Now I gotta spend like $500 on a 6 channel radio to do all the shit I want to do (like dual motors some day maybe)... Anyway... I don't consider any of the money I spent on my little toy wasted because it's all usable on other RCs. Even parts I got that aren't compatible (like the steel pinions and spur gears I ordered that won't work... I can keep them for future RC projects). Anyway... I named my RC. Its name is Creepy as in Creepy Crawley. So... right now Creepy is $400 if you count parts and upgrades. I really like my 1.9" tires but the original 2.2" that shipped are now waterproofed so my new "mud set" will be the original Redcat Racing 2.2" and my "rock set" will be the Injora 120mm I've mostly taken my RC through north-central Pennylvania clay-mud and let me tell ya... fall through spring... it doesn't matter what tread your tiny tires have. You'll get caked over and after a few feet of puddle or mud pit you're traction surface is just mud on mud. I believe (I don't have the tires handy right now) the text on the side of my Injora set of tires says "Rocks Tyre Super Swamper". They're a little softer than the Redcat originals but they're narrower and aren't enough to float the whole crawler where the original 2.2 were big enough to float over deep mud. Also... the Injora tires have a metal wheel and there's less thread to engage with the axles (meaning you gotta be double sure you put loctite on when you swap wheels). Total aside... I'm thinking that I should maybe get like monster jam tires for real mud crawling. That seems like a tread pattern that would actually shed the caked on mud. If anyone has experience with a monster truck V pattern in 1/10th scale in sticky clay mud... let me know if it's good. Or bad. I really want to know.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but everyone should own a small hair dryer wd40 and synthetic grease. I shower my cars after every run than use the hair dryer to get the water out of the areas that would normally settle hang drying

Redcat everet 10 would be my starting point. Cheap, capable and lots of mods out there for it.
