I always love these on board videos, especially when Taylor is having fun and the car is responding to him. Getting to see all the little details like straightening out the wheel to give an extra shove into the corner, or the way he transitions from exiting a corner to preparing a Scandi flick. Not balancing tyres is a mistake even on a race/drift car, it eats tyres, shocks and suspension and can induce problems from fatiguing metal so it cracks and breaks, wheels fall off, brake pads can get pushed back, also electrical faults and engine problems including knock sensor/ tuning issues.

Looks like someone needs to create a controller that moves (what appears to be) the DC diff control motor the whole way to the unlocked position and then read the hall effect sensors to know the position of the ball ramp locking mechanism and the move the motor with PWM back and forth to control lock and unlock based on boost/tps/clutch kick status (pedal switches), handbrake activation etc. Most electronic controls still terminate in a simple DC motor or other electromechanical device.

F80 seems really grippy, wondering about tire pressure settings/camber and how much Jordans diff/locker device helped the rear be able to break loose. Would it be beneficial to add a simple meth kit/tune for a bit more HP on track so you don't have to rely on the handbrake so much? All in all for a big-girl it's impressive.

Love the drift vids! I had the same CarPlay issue on my 4 series and found it was because I didn’t have a Wi-Fi antenna ($15 part that plugs in to the rear of the headunit, easy 10 min. install) Hopefully that’ll be the same fix for you if you don’t have the antenna already

I initially thought that you omitting the sway bars, was weird.... But I'm not driving the car, nor do I know anything about drifting like you do.... But on the first day, I was thinking about how violent it was for the passengers, every time you'd hand brake/transition, it was pretty harsh.... It's in the video!!! Plus allot of hand brake??? The noise your getting can sure be coming from the coil over add rubber hose around the spring to damping the body contact..(sure will feel it on dumpy road. Drive in the night with jus u on the road with low rpm you hear all we’re the sound running from

Incredible until you blow a turn and go off-roading into rocks and gravel because there are no runoff areas. Done a bunch of motorcycle track days there and blowing a turn is an expensive event.
