Hi. I own a Milescraft drill mate and I have enjoyed near perfect usage out of it. And I say near perfect because I do have one problem. The spring that is included is pushing the cross section up in only one of two sides, making the cross section not strictly horizontal, but tilted in a very small angle. This in turn causes uneven friction on the posts and will not let the drill go down smoothly (I have to push real hard) or come back to its original position. I applied the recommended lubricant to the posts with no luck. Having a spring in each of the posts doesn't help because then you wouldn't be able to use the stop collar. I opted for removing the spring, and kind of solved the problem, but I rather have the spring back so it takes the drill back to its upper position. Maybe I am just doing something wrong. I contacted Milescraft customer service, and they were very kind, but didn't help me solving this problem. I wonder if anyone has had this problem and knows how to solve it. Thanks.

What is the largest diameter shank that the chuck can accept?
