Drilling a water well for our new homestead

We rented a small drilling rig and got some friends that had experience with water well drilling to come help out. It was great to learn something new. I tested the water and it is great except that it is hard and has some iron in it. it's a happy time.

,,,,,, it was around $600 per day. Then the pump was $1000 , plus pipe and drilling mud. $650 pressure tank. I paid the guys for helping me. I would have to add it all up.

it won't kill ya, but it needs a filter to take some of the iron out and it's hard water so we will probably get a water softener.
