Excited to see the actual delivery system of the water entering the pond. I imagine to get it operational, you will initially just have a discharge pipe spilling over the bank. But ultimately, a raised rock wall, where the water cascades in would be sick. A little enclosed Gazebo nearby perhaps to have a late night after dinner drink listening to the serene sound of water flowing. This slice of paradise provides endless thoughts.

You are describing it just as I am envisioning it! For now it will just be a pipe, but long term I want to make it a show piece. The only part that won't be true is the late night water flow....it's solar! ha

Thanks! The hardscape waterfall is the end game, but we have some work to get there. Once water is flowing into the pond I'll be a happy camper!

@Indy Fram Life that's going to be a big change to your pond. Are you going to build a pump house? You know how our weather gets. Crazy question if you build a pimp house Are you going to have solor heat. Anyway awesome video keep them coming ( Tony)

Hey Tony! Yes it is. No we won't need a pump house. The pump will be down in the well and the only thing that will be exposed will be the solar panels and controller, which is good, because I don't need another project.

I was quoted about 45 and 48 a foot depending on the type of rig used here in south Texas. The wells around me are 200 to 225 feet and static level is around 80 feet below ground level. I really wish I could already build a small home on the 8 acres to cool down during 110F plus days.

Wow that's pricey! What kind of ground would they be drilling through? Is it all rock?

What are the chances the well is the same vein as the house and could you run low on water after filling the pond all day?

Suppose it's possible, but not sure we will know if/until it happens. The farmer next door (less than a mile) said he used to pull 10k gallons a day every day through the summer months. Seems we have a healthy aquifer.

He's got a lot going on over there. It's not as fun to highlight the headaches for the world to see. I just like to give him a friendly jab now and then ha. He will be visiting us in a couple weeks. I'm sure we will discuss it at length.

Nice video. I can appreciate what you went through to find a well driller, I did the same thing finding a driller for our house well. Mine ended up being 140' well, with static water at 11' and 110 gpm production. I got lucky as the well ended up on a gravel bed. I'm looking forward to your video on solar. Just las week I put a portable solar array out on my lawn (that finally has grass) to see how it performs and how well it works with my Bluetti AC500 and 512 Ah of batteries. I'm now tracking the sun, much like you did, to get a good idea of where I can put up a permanent solar bank. You mentioned you going with a fixed mount. I'm looking at the ECO-WORTHY Solar Panel Dual Axis Tracking System vs a static mount. Did you consider something like this?

Wow, that's quite the production from your well! You could irrigate with that thing. What's your plan with your solar setup? Is your house well going to be solar powered? The movable unit sounds nice. What I am getting comes from RPS with their well pumps. They do have some that are pole mount which likely provide more flexibility. I do think mine have tilt adjustment, but no auto tracking. That sounds fancy!

@@IndyFarmLife Yea, the drillers said the same thing about the well producing so much we could use it for irrigation. What I'm looking to do with my solar set up is to have an alternative way to provide electricity to the house, something that would recharge my batteries with 1 day of sun. My Bluetti AC500 was purchased for my 5th wheel, as was the batteries and portable solar panels. When building the house I had it wired so the AC500 would work as UPC for my freezers (2), Frigs (2), and furnace fan (gas furnace). So, if the power goes out these things would still be running. Granted we don't have 220 for our well, but we've got the rest covered. The house is heated with natural gas (and I tinny wood stove), so I had it plumbed and wired in for a generator. I've got a multifuel generator that I can hook up for the 220 power if the outage is long enough = I need the well, or recharge the batteries. I'm also considering a hand pump on top of the well (for getting buckets of water), or a 110 pump that I could power with the solar generator. I've got a stream running through the property, and a 1/4 acre pond, so we've got water outside of the well if needed.
