My first thought when I saw all the shot glasses was: Run to the kitchen, grab a box of baking soda, and shake it liberally over all of the shot glasses. Even if there's more than one glass that fizzes up like a volcano, it should at least narrow it down significantly. Plus, baking soda's edible, so it's still fine to drink a bit inside the vinegar, if possibly a bit unpleasant.

Just wanted to point out that the person saying they have nearly no sense of smell was able to pinpoint the general direction of the vinegar and find it, while the person claiming to have a great sense of smell couldn't find the vinegar despite being almost directly on top of it.

AcTuAlLy 🤓if alcohol beverages are spoilt they can also contain vinegar, so basically you had to drink all alcoholic shots another actually: fruit juice like apple juice often contains around 0.1% alcohol, so since it contains alcohol, there is also a slight possibility to have vinegar in it, so basically you had to drink all juice shots too
