I saw KRS in concert twice.....He can definitely control a crowd and he used to get the crowd involved. Other rappers would just go up and perform, but KRS would get the audience in it. I remember he would split up the crowd and ask which side had the real hip hoppers. And always at the end of his show, would invite local talent up to perform.

The bambataa situation with all due respect to KRS ONE is what perpetuating the toxicity of brotherhood. I don't care what position Bambataa is accredited in the history of hiphop culture. We have to hold each other accountable for any sexual misconduct. We all know that in the earlier days it was easy to get away with inappropriate behaviour. But the game is changing. People are no longer falling in line and accepting all sorts of shenanigans. We need to protect the culture and not individuals.

The "when b-boys went to the latest jam - it got shot up - we went home and same damn.... there's got to be a better way to hear our music everyday... remember Bronx River ruling think with Dj red alert and chuck chill out on the mix... paterson and millbrook projects - casanova all over you couldn't stop it - 9 lives crew the cypress boys the real rock steady taking out these toys..... it was 76 to 1980 the dreads in Brooklyn was crazy... you couldn't come out your set with no hip hop or the pistols would go....." That was real. Stuff today is inorganic.

Cris Guerrero agreed. I love KRS and I struggle with his views on Bam. If he’s a “teacher” he needs to hold people accountable. He sweeps Bams sexual abuse under the rug. Not cool. Bam took advantage of those young boys. On a lighter note - much respect to those who write their OWN lyrics. That to me makes a real MC.

Over 40's and beyond know, but the youngsters don't know anything about the 80's or the origins of hip-hop. It's all hype now, with people thinking the OG's of the game are the artists (and I ain't naming names lol) who had to wait in line behind the Biggie's, Pac's, LL's, Tribe, De La, Naughty, Wu-Tang, Snoop, Dre, Cube, Jay-Z, Pun, Gang Starr's of this world for their light to dim a little before they could get their shine on - because they couldn't compete lyrically at all with acts of that calibre.

Where hip hop fell off: When the MC left the Djay. Just see the chemistry between KRS and DJ Ef when that tennis ball came out. Nore was left in awe. By the way...its that same chemistry that gave us drink champs. You must not allow Technology ruin everything. That part of the culture is a NO NO hell the fck don't touch No!!!
