Uncle Murda black and yellow That dont make no sense, if thats the case then how come loyalty is nowhere to be found in the industry with VERY few exceptions? Everyone is tryna eat extra off eachother and snake eachother, Memphis Bleek is a rare case of someone that never turned his back on Hov no matter what and on top of that he always kept it 100% real and honest. Erfbgu 2 they were getting at each other since before that bleek song since 97 they were taking shots that whole where I’m from song was about nas and mobb deep prodigy been told us that... nas has song on his album in 99 called come get me jay has a song on his album in 99 called come and get me .. “3cuts in ya eyebrows tryna wild out “ only nas and az had the 3 cut eyebrow shit back then lol but yeah they been taking shots Nas probably knew if I attack bleek jay would say my name n that’s what happened he dissed bleek and jay showed his hand

@@pedrogates3189 Where I'm from I think was more at Mobb than Nas because he did big up Nas on the joint and he was bigging him up enough by sampling Nas and wanting to collaborate. Nas was giving Jay the cold shoulder though (shading him on the message)...then Nas vocalized issue with Jay about the City is mine joint. Then came What you think of that then most know the rest.

I mess with Bleek but he was wildin thinking "in his mind" that he wanted smoke with Nas. The line that they are referring to is from his song Nastradamus. " You wanna ball til you fall, I can help you with that/You want beef I can let a slug melt in your hat" It's a direct reference to Memphis Bleek's song "What you think of that" where in the hook Bleek says "ball til I fall". The song featured Hov and if you haven't heard it check out Jay's verse. There is definitely multiple subs at Nas. And aside from the DJ clue freestyle, Nas BODIED Bleek on his verse on the "The Bridge 2001" song from the QB Finest comilation. That was a direct response to Bleek's "Mind Right". Then Jay had to focus on Nas, and leave Beans to battle Jadakiss cuz the the Lox were coming at his head. My favorite era in hip hop. Nas and Jada/the Lox Vs. All of Rocafella. The good ol days
@adrielgreen67465 жыл бұрын
Also...on Bleek's song "what you think of that" Jay's verse starts out like "Know niggas ain't frontin like I'm a clown or somethin/ Like I ain't got the CROWN or somethin..." That was a direct response to Nas' song "We will survive" Nas verse tribute to BIG said "And these niggas is wrong, using your name in vein/And they claim to be New York's KING, it ain't about that..." I say all that to say this...Bleek's homie wasn't lying or gassing him. He was telling the truth about Nas directly responding to him in Nastradamus. Bleek got revisionist history.
@uriellevelupriley6845 жыл бұрын
no it wasn't ballin was in everyone songs back then. Yaw reachin hard. Even Bleek said it wasn't about him.

@@uriellevelupriley684 Bleek got revisionist history fam. Rappers be denying subs all the time...nothing new. And yeah back then 1000 songs had ballin in it. But Nas specifically referenced "Ball til you fall" in the Nastradamus line. Which prompted his homie as well as others to say it was aimed at Bleek. Also Bleek was known for always rocking a fitted hat (also referenced by Nas. Just go back and listen to Nas "We will survive" verse about Biggie, then Bleek's hook on "What you think of that" along with Jay-z's 3rd verse. Follow that up with Nastradamus song. Then listen to Bleek "My mind right" (OG version) and lastly Nas verse on "Da Bridge 2001". Yall know the rest of the disses after that with Jay. But listen in that order and I think its pretty evident and not a reach at all with the subs I pointed out. Just a lyrical deep dive to catch the subs. ✌🏾
