I was just a small town Texas kid, like 8yrs old or so when I 1st heard 187 He Wrote. I think my older brother bought that album. It was the 1st gangster rap album I ever heard and to this day, at 37yrs of age now. I still bump that album. Literally my favorite rap album! Spice 1 is a legend and 1 of my favorite rappers! The story he’s talking about with the kids killing each other. VL’s and GD’s was the story of Robert “Yummy” Sandifer”. He was on the front cover of Time magazine and 2pac spoke about him a few times. Thats where the inspiration for the song “Young Niggas” came from off “‘Me against the world”.

First time I heard spice 1, we got dropped off at OCCC in OKC to swim, they told us pool was closed to the public that day. We didn’t have a ride home, cell phones weren’t a thing back then, so we needed a ride home. We hit the locker room, ran through a few of them, found some keys. Stole the car, and in the CD player was Amerikkkas Nightmare. And we bumped that shit the whole way home to Kerr Village 🤣🤣
