Thank you! I really appreciate that comment. I was worried that the length of the video would put people off but I wanted to try a more spontaneous, less scripted style of video. Kind of like a podcast episode.

@@mindful_wander In my opinion, 80% of success is personality and 20% is content. To be honest, I wish you'd lighten up a little. Your content is solid and you're a good looking guy. There is no reason why you should have less than 500k subs by now. I say less structure and more of YOU BEING YOU... even if its goofy and not perfect. BTW, Ive been watching you since you were living in your car. I think your travels and the things you've seen all over the world are extraordinary!

@@mindful_wander may I ask you a question? Do you have some experiences on microdosing with Saint Pedro? I seeked on the Internet but it's difficult to find a recipe.

i have heard many people talk about all types of psychedelics, and the only one that doesn't sound like poison is LSD. i did a lot of LSD when i was younger and i miss it.

Interesting take. Why is that the case for you? There are two main ideas that I’ve heard that come to mind: first is the idea that San Pedro (aka wachuma), ayahuasca, mushrooms, etc., are “natural” and un-processed, therefore leading to some people feeling like they are more pure and more holistic. Those same people sometimes shy away from LSD because, although it is derived from a fungus, it is chemically processed into its final form. Also, it doesn’t typically have a guiding spirit that is thought to be the essence of it (e.g. Mother Aya or Grandfather Wachuma). On the other hand, some people feel that substances that cause you to purge (i.e. vomit), do so because your body sees them as toxins that need to be removed right away. For me, I have no big issues with either. I appreciate the tradition, ceremony, reverence, and spirituality that comes with the whole plants. LSD can provide incredibly healing and expanding experiences as well.

@@mindful_wander my statement comes only from one fact of experience. LSD never made me projectile vomit. i have found more natural substances to be a lot harder on the body. just because something comes from the earth doesn't always make it more healthy. I'm not saying that LSD is more healthy for me but it sure seems to be easier on my body.

There's a time and place for it, for sure. That one woke me up actually blasted me awake 🙏 and nothing was ever the same 😅. I wasn't ready for it tho and wasn't grounded back then, or balanced when it happened

What effects did this have on you long term? I want to try but I’m nervous

Hi! Thank you for the question! I feel like I have to say, first of all, that I'm not a doctor. I can't know for how you will react to this substance but (from all the investigation I did for myself) it's generally considered physically safe and it is taken under supervision. Special caution should be given if you or family are predisposed to things like bi-polar disorder or Schizophrenia, or you are taking anit-depresents/SSRIs. Those cases are definitely beyond my full understanding. Now, as far as specific lasting effects that I experienced, I'd say they have been positive reflections on life. I reflected A LOT on the idea of masculinity (a topic that I was barely starting to contemplate during this time) and that these reflections have carried on to a new relationship I started. These reflections have also been extremely helpful and I think make me a better partner overall. This San Pedro experience also reinforced a theme that I was starting to explore in Peru, which was reverence for nature and reverence for ceremony. In other words, it made me appreciate nature and spending time in places with long-standing natural wisdom (amongst trees and mountains; things we take for granted in the city). And because drinking San Pedro revolves around setting intentions, expressing gratitude, respected the "spirit" of the "medicine," etc., it's caused me to reflect on all the things that I used to do without this type of reverence (e.g. eating a meal before giving thanks, drinking alcohol without a solid intention, or even drinking something natural like tea or cacao without first pouring some onto the earth). if you're considering this for yourself, find a reputable place with good reviews and email them and ask them as many questions as you want. You need to make sure it is a trust-worthy place with trust-worthy shamans and facilitators. Personally, I also loved that I did it in Peru, the natural home of this plant and where the shaman originated. If you happen to be traveling to Cusco, I would highly recommend this place (Casa de la Gringa). There's a link in my bio if you want to look into it. If you're in the nearby town in the Sacred Valley called Pisac, I've heard amazing things (from people I trust) from a place called Hummingbird. Keep me posted on your journey. All the best. -Brandon

Thanks for the question. At Casa de la Gringa, the ceremony itself cost $150. You can (and I would recommend) that you also get your own private room to stay the night, for $35. Here's a link if you want to check out their website: tr.ee/Q9-RYwedyx I don't get anything from it at all but it would be cool to track how many people I refer to them :) Let me know if you have any other questions about it. It was an amazing experience. Pretty tough but profound.

You gave a very thorough explanation of your/the experience. It did not create even the slightest desire in me to try it, It actually caused me to ask myself Why would anybody want to do this? Especially more than once? I personally love what i will call the psychedelic physically energizing, experience that comes from either lSD or mushrooms. You describe this nauseating and undesirable physical feeling that I will experience for at least 12 hours. Like I was about to punish myself for some reason. You never clearly said it would, but I pick up in your talk about of the people digging into things in their mind that maybe I would do this to figure out why my mother never loved me or my personal insecurities or ptsd. I have a fairly large piece of San Pedro cactus in the freezer, which I intend on peeling and making some tea. I am a 78-year-old man Who has been experimenting since before Woodstock and just love being in that altered state of mind. I promise I'm not bragging, but I did a third of this tiny dose of Sandos LSD given to us, me and my 2 friends by Timothy Leary. At the fillmore east. We sat in a studio apartment for a very long time. Watching the walls and the shag carpet breathe and the window blinds bleed. Then went out and walked for hours , taking in all the crazy sites and sounds. I'm going to make the tea drink it and go to a bar with a giant patio, Custom Harley's, beautiful babes, and a great funk hornband. Love you buddy..
