Is it normal for this type system to leak at the point where main pipe and feeder pipe are connected ??/ I ordered a kit a amazon . Water keeps leaking at the joint where main pipe is connected to feeder pipe. If it was for one joint it was fine but its for all joints... lot of water gets wasted as well as balcony has become unusable due to leakage :-(

Yes, it is normal to leak this type of system to the point where the main pipe and feeder pipe are connected. But the water does not leak from all the joints, making sure that the feeder pipe connector hole is not large so that it fits in it correctly. This can reduce the problem of water leakage from the drip system to some extent.

Use m-seal kind of water resistant sealant at all the joints to overcome the water leakage. Make sure pipe surface are dry when you apply sealant. Leave it to dry over night.
