Looks like the link geometry may be off a bit. Maybe try a rear link riser. Whatever the problem is I am sure you will figure it out. You always do. Great video. It is always good to see the whole process of changes even if the outcome isn't necessarily better. I always like to see through your videos the thought process you go through when fixing a build.

The link riser might have to go on the to-buy list, as it's now been suggested more than once.

Do you think a low profile servo will help with the high CG on the front? And how about a sway bar to help the Jeep from popping up.

Hello, your videos are very interesting and I learn a lot from them, I have an axial cj7 and I wanted to consult which wheel extension I would have to buy so that my jeep would be wider (approximately 13mm) it would be ideal, thank you very much in advance for your collaboration.
@CrawlerCanyon
@CrawlerCanyon 8 ай бұрын
13mm overall isn't much. Depending on what wheels you have, you can just change out the hubs. First runs of this rig were on a typical beadlock with 9mm hubs, I've since swapped to -10 deep wheels, which make it about 18mm wider overall. If you don't have wheels yet, I'd just recommend deep offset. If you have wheels with standard 6-bolt SLW hubs, just get the appropriate hubs, like these: amzn.to/4bjUfG7 The 15mm will give you ~12mm more width, and the 18s about, yep, 18mm.

My 10iii JLU would do the same, I believe its a torque twist issue. No matter what I did with the shocks it would lift a tire and flip, but once I added a rear sway bar it drive's wonderfully now. I still get full flex but almost no twist.

I tried to add the sway bar to the rear of my JT, the mount wouldn’t work from the JLU like they implied. Still looking for a solution.

@@CrawlerCanyon Shortly after getting my 10.3 I swapped out the transmission gears to some KYX hardened gears, its solid now and boy does it take some punishment. The truck has a HH 2700kv puller pro that I run on 4s but Its just a trail truck, I have far better rigs for straight crawling.

it was so odd I had to google it, and yep-- that's pretty much exactly what the OE mirrors looked like. Also, no one can complain about the new track width, either-- the stock tires on un-modded CJs were over halfway out from under the fenders.

@@CrawlerCanyon I just got my 90mm Traxxas GTS shocks in the mail from Jenny's a half hour ago. Going to install them now. My track width is moved out as well. Currently with Treal wheels and Canyon Trails I am at 9 9/16". I have extended hexes arriving Friday or Sat which will move me to about 9 3/4". Each wheel/tire combo is at 212g and the extended hexes should put them a tad heavier.

I feel like the problem may be the MEUS brass. If you go "flat-ish" the brass helps you, but passing a certain degree climb, the brass launches you off the rock (I dontk know why or how) Also, maybe deez bands for the shocks in the front?

Might be worth checking your front shock mounting points, my 10.2 was doing very a similar front lean, the upper drivers side shock ball lip was being pushed inside the plastic 5mm spacer causing a slight bind and making the front end act pretty crazy, backing out the screw and reseating the shock solved it but still going to replace the spacers with aluminium. Keep up the great work dude 👍

I’m working on a rig and have the 2660 big bores , how do you get the cap to swivel? I know about the plastic caps with balls, but is there another way to make the swivel? Again,I love to watch your channel! I’m getting back into rock crawling, and I’m getting all kinds of information from you ,thank you Sir .
@CrawlerCanyon
@CrawlerCanyon 8 ай бұрын
I'm guessing you mean because the included mount for the top cap is a shouldered plastic spacer that doesn't allow the shock cap to move freely. Well, there's the plastic caps you mentioned, there's Dravtech caps, and then there's DIY Dravtech caps, and I might have to do a video on that one. Then, THEN, there's the oldest of old skool options, which is cut a length of silicone tubing ~8mm long, and use that as a shock bushing.

I know most don’t want to hear it. Your rock terrain requires a Vanquish or Reefs Sway Bar. My 10.3 rigs performance all increased considering the natural torque twist when on binding on rock inclines. Give it a shot. Love the videos.

For some bizarre reason, DLux says "4.75lbs to completely collapse the hard spring," but the rate is listed as 0.35nm, or 3.1lbs-in, which is close to what I got when I rated them. And yes, the Element blue are the firmest spring in the soft assortment, at 2.09lbs-in.
