Crawler Canyon Presents: Crawlympics '24, Stage 2 Group 5: The In-Betweeners

Three for four is pretty good. The one is not our fault.
Running groups are chosen by the Stage 1 Mavericks leaderboard, the tried-and-true method of "worst and first," so we'll be taking two from either end of the board each week. Well, excpet for this week, which is composed of the guy we forgot to run in Stage 1, the guy we forgot to run in week 4 of Stage 2, and a couple of filler guys that didn't exist when this all got underway.

I completely forgot that he still had the "stock" plastic spur from the XK "kit." Had I remembered, I would have known what failed the moment it happened. It still feels like a 48P nylon spur with an eliminator in it is just asking for breakage.

actually not mad about that break, driver rear tire is fully turned buried into the body rocker completely locking up that rear axle. imagine parts not easy to find for those axles... think the gear would be easier to get ahold of. toothless maybe slide body back 5-10mm chop off the rails

The very moment something goes in the CFX-W axles, he gets double MEUS fronts. Will actually have some decent gear reduction then.

Toothless is proof of how good an SCX10.2 could have been if Axial knew what they were doing...it's both impressive and frustrating how little effort it took to make him that good.

Right? He might be different bits, but that's still 10.2 geometry, gearing, and everything else. Axial just somehow managed to spec every kit and RTR to the absolute functional minimum.
