Ah, the Maurice Sendak school of electronics - Where the Wire Things Are. Do you have to use the bracket or can you just glue the grill on and cobble something for the lights? If the lights aren't going to be functional it would be easy to use screws and washers from the inside to anchor them.

On the rear axle, can't you flip the mounts forward and bend the links to clear the shocks? I hated this design when I saw it. The element axles always look so clean with BTA, and then they do this...

I preach it all the time about how it's all about that resistance on that motor the one I used the most in micro is the BAM and you have trouble turning it by hand compared to a pancake style that you can free Spin

I really like seeing a hot rod crawler, something about that just feels right! We use those same syringes for priming polymer pumps. If you pull the rubber end off of the plunger and then glue it back on you won't have to worry about loosing it inside the syringe anymore when you try to relieve pressure to stop it from yeeting all over the place. 🤓

random suggestions, you can narrow the skid to offer more pinch available overall in the front, move the servo back behind the mounting ears (spacers if you like extra space), make a flat tray that goes under the servo to hold the battery behind servo still on axle (might have to use servo mount holes for the plate). If more pinch above doesn't work, just cut the top corner section out of the shock towers in front, run your cross brace on the shock mounting bolts. Make rear lockouts ? tube slides over the axle joint pins against outer knuckle and inner c when you bolt outer knuckles to inner, can be any material really pvc, copper, alum, delrin etc.. lathe make quick work of it i would think.

Just got done mounting the pickup version of this body on my MEUS build and found it much easier than what you are having to do. Shaving the plastic around the screw heads (on the grille mount) and some other protrusions allowed me to squeeze the body down lower to the point where I was happy with how it sat in the front. the grille is an issue as it really can hook on rocks at times, if I compete with this build (which is my plan) I'm going to use a different body as like you I refuse to cut the grill off.

I'm not aware of anyone doing BTA for Element axles, because, well, the tie rod is back there.

It actually kinda does. Well, it does if you want to run any reasonable amount of caster. If you don't care about steering or handling, sure, flip it to the front.

Maybe you're laying down the sarcasm and it went right over my head, but to say no creativity in the middle of this particular video...I mean literally the entire 50 minutes is being creative to bring this Crawler Canyon Coupe to life.

I’d choose different axles, just like @jefflasko wrote, F10 instead of trimming the body to run those elements
