A nice two tone brown could look nice for paint on this one

As a bit of a C1 guy, I'd say toolbox/battery box in the bed.

No Paint! Add stripes! Less scratches during the testing.. (google 1982 Toyota pickup, and the tan one with stripes)

This is awesome. Today I was just messing with this body to mount on a VS-4-10 and I have the shorten the rear links considerably. 😮

Ah, joys of hard bodies. Looking good so far! I'm currently going the other way, building a short wheelbase C1 2-door Bronco with IFS. I predict LPB will be on the rocks long before mine.

Man, really enjoyed this one! Loved watching your process and hearing your commentary throughout. You are a maniac but dont ever change, best crawler content on YT for sure. I have alot of thoughts on this so please bear with my much less experienced take on this. First off, trying to do shit without just taking it apart, then after you've manged to finagle everything you realize how much easier just disassembling the gd thing would have been, priceless. I've only assembled kits so have never had to figure out geometry so always find your inputs on this informative. Haven't built a hardbody yet (I dont count my Clodbuster), but appreciate seeing you try to balance performance vs. scale in this build. On that note, I was rooting for you to throw leaves on the back and not cut the bed but the way it turned out looks clean and will surely perform better. Anyway, for the battery, idk if theres space under the hood. If not, battery in a bed box right behind the cab is the right answer.

Yes, IERC short shock towers but need to run 80mm shocks.

I just pop the body on and off to swap batteries. I use set screws so I don't have to use tools. I'd like to see you paint it the same color as Old Blue. That way you can use it as a stunt body and get more daring when you drive the leafer.

The new body looks great on Lord Pentabee. nicely done. I have yet to build a hard body rig. I really need to. Thanks for the entertainment and infotainment!

Can’t you use grub screws for the body and just pry it open and off? Or does the bed screw down too

3D printer and a few nights learning Fusion360 was the best investment in the hobby. I love hardbody crawlers but not the Trailfinder chassis.

You need someone to 3D print you a bed toolbox to cover the shock towers and provide a spot place a small battery in the bed👍

A print or even a file would be great. One of the members sent me links to Etsy sellers, but the prices are what I would consider prohibitive-- and one is from Canada, so I think that's a no-go right now anyway. Probably another month before he's back in action at the rate things are going anyway.

I used shock keys an removed the shock towers on my axial scx10.2 class 0 build didn't have to cut the bed

I've yet to get a cantilever suspension to work anywhere. So... maybe?

@CrawlerCanyon I've not done anything with one but I figured it would change the orientation of the shock for better clearance

I really like the Mojave body, and I can get a clone for 50 bucks in Spain. I would love to build a class 1 with it in the future I will say it... Ruby needs a Bronco with IFS brother... What about renaming this guy to Mojabee? (From Pentabee). When you said Pentabee during the closing of the video, I thought about the Bronco body, and not this new guy...

Mohave a is a popular body in comp scene here, hardbody points, light enough and easy to mod. I am doing something similar but mad, I am making a 280mm wheelbase Sendero SE, another hardbody but i will give it IFS2
