This is precisely how Miami looked in the early 2000s. This game is from 2004. Pretty legit. Before the yuppies moved into Downtown Miami.

The driver series was legit as fuck when I was kid. For the time these graphics are pretty good. Hell I remember the being blow away by the graphics on the original driver when it came out

Compared to Vice City, the graphics with this game were phenomenal! Too bad the story were kinda hard and boring but nonetheless driving around Miami was amazing and it felt you were really driving in the 2000s era of Miami! 😎🔥

What crippled it were lots of bugs, the game had been rushed to avoid a frontal collision with San Andreas, and awful controls on foot. Though I suspect it's nowhere near as bad on PC than it was on PS2.

The graphics was way better than GTA Vice City, both D3 and Vice City developed at same era to same console. You can see how car behave better than VC, graphics more realistics.

This game had so much potential to be a lot more than what it was. Needed longer development time, more atmospheric lighting, more city details, better combat & AI. When you play this, you can still have fun but it really does feel like an unfinished masterpiece. To hell with the GTA clone crap. An open world driving game is an open world driving game. Rockstar were the ones who perfected that game detail. Every other developer needs to just realize what works & what will be remembered.
