I'll never forget playing this game as a little kid. Right when it starts, I explored my house and thought it was so cool. I wanted to say hi to the neighbour at 0:48 just across the little alleyway. I walk into the backyard and this creepy looking dude in a pink shirt takes out a carbine and tries to kill me. I escaped but was also completely petrified and never wanted to return home.

Remember this game came out just after Vice City. Comparably to the two 3d GTA games at the time (gta3 and Vice City) it honestly wasn't a bad game. Yeah when San Andreas came out it was outdated but in context of the time it was better than gta3 and some aspects of it were better than Vice City.

God this game is so dumb but so fun. I remember completing the game many times back in the day, and i remember going into freeroam to find glitches, and theres one spot by the airport where you can fall under the map down onto a dev platform, from what ive seen nobody else found it lol

There's a lot of glitches in Nice too. You can fall out of the map on one of the highways by driving over the barriers with a semi. Looking back, this game kinda sucked, but when I was little I thought it's one of the best games ever because my parents didn't allow me to play GTA 😂

Seeing you struggle through 1/3 of the game made me so damn happy , I did finish the game on my OG Xbox thank god theyr released that one of patch that made so you could disable the inverse camera settings because I definitely wouldn't have done it 😂😂 some of the mission on that fucking game are insanely hard 🤣🤣 the shooting is terrible the only good side is the driving that is absolutely superb games nowadays still can't come close to driver's feeling of the driving , the chase mission are madness , I just wanted to ki** myself trying to do them but I did , probably one of my best achievements ever

Driv3r may be a broken glitchy mess, but it is a broken glitchy mess with a replay editor! One of my favorite games actually, I even enjoy the story mode, but messing around in take a ride is just crazy fun. One of my favorite places is the beach in Nice, the accesses ramps make great jumps!

it might not be the best game but that didn't stop me from making a Definitive Edition mod that fixes visual bugs and makes this 2004 game look even better. Honestly, graphics-wise Driv3r was more advanced than GTA Vice City for example.

The PC version released after the PS2 version, and the game was insanely rushed into release by Atari, so maybe that mission was nearly complete and they could throw it in.

Yeah for all the glitchy failings of Driv3r (I see you got to know the infuriatingly annoying curb collision physics), it's greatest sin is not keeping the car roof/underside pouncing glitch that worked so beautifully in Driver 1 and 2. For shame, Driv3r. For shame.

Remember buying this and taking it home to play with the rest of the house, five of us taking it in turns. My mates girlfriend lasted under three seconds on a bike; rode straight into a wall, bounced into another wall, dead.

This game is a raging dumpster fire, and then for brief moments it shows what it could have been if it was actually, you know, finished and polished but those moments are few and far between. Treasure them. Also Take a Ride is gloriously broken in silly ways. If only Atari would have given Reflections enough time to finish up the game and making it actually decent. Also the GBA version is strangely decent for a handeheld with its mock 3D effect and actually having decent for a handheld, handling

It may be an absolute jankfest, but it's still a blast to mess about in. But now it's time for the best Driver, Driver: San Francisco. You can try Parallel Lines, but it's kinda just more of Driv3r. Although it's pretty cool that the map is only new york, but it's first set in the 70's and part way through the story it progresses to the 2000's.

You should come back and play the survival mode in Nice. It's so fantastically stupid. For example, in this mode the police seem to be able to decide exactly how much horsepower their car has at any given moment, so they wheelie and mash themselves into walls. Another fantastic feature of this game is that at the very end of the chain of descisions the game can make is "explosion", so sometimes police will try to get out of their car once every frame and fail and each time will cause another explosion - it's hilarious. Maybe you could get the community to send in their old replays to watch.

Ohh man, the amount of b******* I get away with in this game 🤣 I've gotten so attuned to the way the game works that I can actually kill Tanner with the invincibility cheat enabled.. There's been a few times where i have even scattered the digital infrastructure within the in game cities to where the game either hard freezes or becomes nearly unplayable. Of course console is the way to go though, as the pc version movement controls are much too sluggish. I seldomly still play it.

Man, I remember Driver 2 was one of my top PS1 favorite games. Fast forward to the PS2, still during the honeymoon phase of the new console, I saw this game and thought it would be a gift from the gods. I think this was my first major disappointment going into the next console gen. I just could not believe how wonky, broken and utterly boring this game was, comparing to other similar games like The Getaway, GTA Vice City and San Andreas. What an absolute turd this was.

It's based on "Stuntman" so there's no wonder it feels unbearable. The vehicle physics are good, but it instantly feels depressing/shallow somehow and makes you want to play anything else.

The vehicle physics were REALLY good, they pretty much had to be good for the game to even work considering the subject. But there are so many things to test the average players patience. How strict it was, the insane load times you have to sit through every restart, the perfect timing the game expects, the small item limit for the stunt arena mode, some vehicles being intolerable, the announcer commands become annoying after hearing them for the 100th time, ect. The game just doesn't feel...welcoming I guess? It's really strict and the creative mode is really limited, it just doesn't have a fun/inviting atmosphere. It feels more like a driving test with a strict instructor.
