Yajiang County, under the jurisdiction of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, bordering Kangding City to the east, Muli County to the south, Litang County to the southwest, and Daofu County and Xinlong County to the north. It was once one of the important ferry crossings of the Yalong River. It is located in the hilly plateau mountainous area in northwest Sichuan, with high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south. The southwest is an extremely high mountain landscape with an altitude of more than 5,000 meters. The area under the jurisdiction of Yajiang County is 7,558 square kilometers, while the urban area is only 0.5 square kilometers. As of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Yajiang County was 51,162.
In the 34th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1908), Yajiang County was under the jurisdiction of Kangding Prefecture. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was renamed Yajiang County and belonged to the Sichuan Border Administrative Region. In 1950, it belonged to the Tibetan Autonomous Region of Xikang Province. In October 1955, it belonged to the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province. As of October 2021, Yajiang County has jurisdiction over 6 towns and 10 townships.
In 2021, Yajiang County achieved a regional GDP of 2.015 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%.

This small town seems to be right on the border of Nepal, and its natural environment is consistent with that in northern Nepal, but China seems to have invested a lot of money in infrastructure here.

Yajiang is in Sichuan province, quite far away from the China-Nepal border but it's a Tibetan autonomous county, as you can see the building styles, it's of Tibetan flavor. Maybe that's why it's culturally similar to Nepal in some degrees.

非常具有特色的地方，不過從台灣同胞角度來看， 我覺得行車素質還有不少地方需要進步， 隨意路邊停車問題挺嚴重的，甚至片中還有直接停在路中間的 ? 行人肆意穿越道路，不走人行道的狀況也屢見不鮮。 雖然多少明白這是個老縣城了，汽車發明前道路就是這樣， 不過或多或少彼此應該要多體諒些，能夠更文明，交通文化才會進步。 本來有點疑惑為什麼路面都佈滿泥濘，不過看到下方有人留言提到不久前有泥石流的問題， 那也能夠理解了 ~ 深山內交通較不便，也能感受到在這裡生活的人們的堅毅 ~
