The early 90s in San Diego was brightened up because of these boyz. Seeing them set with 20, 30, maybe 50 people thier first two years, I'll never forget them ❤

I saw these guys around this time at Maxwell's in Hoboken NJ. The amazing thing is that squeal sound is not an FX, John Reese could do that with just his Les Paul and a Marshall amp. He had the front panel taken off so the tubes were exposed and he would press his pickup right up to the tubes and it would do that insane squealing. Definitely one of the most intense shows I saw as a young lad.

I'm not a big fan of hardcore or post-hardcore, whatever you wanna call it, but these guys just do it right. I especially like their guitar work.

Thanks for posting!!!! I love just about anything that Reis and Froburg have touched, and Drive Like Jehu was the 1st band they did (besides Pitchfork of course) that really caught my attention in this genre. Brilliant.

Actually, "mister", this is how you hurry up and throw an album out, i like this guys sound, but it's just mashed up and really rushed. If you know where to search you will find some real modern music masterpieces that really had some thought in to it.
