SANTA MARIA IXTEPEJI
La Cumbre / Santa Catarina Ixtepeji is at one of the highest reaches of the Sierra Norte - 3,200 m (10,499 ft.). The hike, which is made up of a loop of about four hours - leads through huge agaves, stands of pinkish madrona and moss-covered firs as well as views out onto the valleys, ridges and pueblos in the region. There are flowers blooming here 365 days a year.
