Greetings that was an awesome tour. You had mentioned that Hadfield was the longest street, I thought that Camp street was. Russell St. Is the continuation of Camp. St George's is the 2nd largest wooden building in the world. Nice video.

That Lombard street use to fill up with horse carts waiting for lumber. Georgetown need some beautifications. The pandit mayor trying his best, but he ain’t getting support from the government. But what to do. The same ppl when they were in power before wanted to move the capital to Berbice. Now, that’s some kind a genius idea. Like changing timehri to cheddi Jagan airport. Burnham could have done it, but he left it to show respect to the amerindians. Guyana stores building use to be an iconic store in GT. It had the guysuco head office. Now it’s just a dump. Yeh, the famous mattai, whose owner was robbed by a couple of kids in front of his barb wired protected house. Too cheap to hire security for his own protection. Good luck comrades. That power plant in Kingston, did my apprenticeship when it was GEC. Great video.

Totally agree there needs to be a major beautification of the city. Drains are clogged with various debris, roads need to be resurfaced or redone and old building should be renovated or torn down and if not then build new ones. Lots of work to be done in the city. Hopefully the relevant authorities put a team together to focus on the cleaning up and maintaining a clean environment in the capital city bringing it up to standard of other cities around the world. Nice video though. Good job with your narration as well.

This was such a nice video. It looks a lot like Trinidad. Many unkept buildings, ole colonial relics and not much progress infrastructure-wise...but it is a beautiful place just like Trinidad.

Ravi bro, I like your comment about the city hall. But they shouldn’t pull it down, at least renovate it. The architecture is outstanding. At least you are a realist! Just a point to note: They have two kinds of Guyanese, the back in the day Guyanese ( Burnham era) and the new generation Guyanese. You are lucky to be the new generation. Some animals in parliament should be in the zoo. Good luck!

nice to see bro. our beautiful guyana, but not georgetown, the city looking worst daily it looks like the street market in nigeria needs to be a major clean up.gt. is the most primitive looking and nasty/dutty/and stink city in south america, i know so, i travel over 34 countries and sad to see big market area to date with street vendors, and horse carts, oh wifey right it a meeting place for amerindians bro/sisters. co op bank use to be barklays bank of england but was nationalize by burnham in 1976 and so was guyana stores was owned by bookers , bookers was the british owners of all the sugar factory in guyana.also port maurant market in berbice ancient county is the largest in guyana to date. keep them videos coming good job
