My first ride was with a hand brake on. luckily it was only for 2 Kms. while parking the car only i realized that the hand brake is on. it was a good lesson and after that, i check the first thing before shifting the gear from the Neutral position.

@@gifhdib This happened to me 3 times, once because someone else pulled my handbrake up actually. My drum brakes are still fine as ever. Makes sense since they are meant to take semi regular abuse. What you wanna worry about is plastic sensors anywhere near by, the immense heat can melt them. Luckily my old ute has none there.

அண்ணா இதே மாதிரி என்னோட wagonrல ஒரு 4 தடவை பன்னியிருக்கேன். நல்ல வேலை இப்போ வருகிற மாருதி கார்களில் dash board warning, warning sound கேட்கும். Hand brake, door ஒழுங்கா சாத்தவில்லை என்றால் வண்டி move ஆனதும் warning sound கேட்க ஆரம்பிச்சிரும். உடனே நாம dash board பார்த்து சரி பன்னிக்கலாம்.! அதேபோல் seat belt போடவில்லை என்றாலும் 20கிமீ மேல் செல்லும் பொழுது warning sound கேட்க ஆரம்பிச்சிரும்.!

sir im a beginner and i drove my car for practice in a ground but i didnt of my handbrake; drove it for 10 minutes in first gear. The car is suzuki dzire. It also showed the warning symbol but i didnt know what it is. I will surely be careful next time and must learn all about the car.
