Look college is not for everyone especially staying on campus. I am so happy that you have decided to continue your education from home. I'm sure that you will do so much better this time due to having the love, support and care of your family. Like they say if you fall down get up, dust yourself off and keep going. Lexi just take small steps at the start until you find yourself comfortable and feel that you can handle the work load. If you see your friends doing better don't ever try and compete with them because slow and steady does always win the race. You've got this, keep your head up and keep pushing forward.

I understand where your coming from. We are from the same school system (SDA), but in a different country. I totally understand what your going through. It's ok to redirect and understand that your mental health is important. Try to do less credits and make time for yourself, I promise it will help. I am happy you will be continuing your education. It's usually hard as a freshman especially with new need food, environment, and location. School honestly isn't easy, but try to find something you enjoy while your doing school. It will get harder as time process, but try to stay organized get academically thriving friends who can be a support system for you in school, socialize as best as possible. As a honours students I find that study with friend help and doing your assignments before the due. However, in reality sometimes you will back log it's a normal part of life. Write a letter to yourself for your freshman year and read it when your in final year, it will show you were your coming from. Don't stress yourself the first year is usually the hardest because you have to address, but you will get use to it. Thank you for always putting out great content, I know you will continue to do well in school. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I was a college freshman, I did the very same thing you did. First I went to a suburban college. Big mistake; I got homesick and wanted to come home. So I did and I went to a Community College. My very first year, I decided (like a big dummy) to take 18 credits; that's 6 classes in one semester. I put so much pressure on myself because I wanted to graduate in 2 years, average time. Sometimes, there comes a point, Lexi, where you have to slow down, get yourself in check, and fly right. God Bless you.

Good luck Lexi, also taking breaks is important. Do that often! When I’m on a break I completely take school out of my mind so I can focus on other things. I relax. So when I’m back on campus I do better.

You got this and you'll make it work for you!💪🏾

The only reason it didn’t work out was because it wasn’t her plan. In an earlier video she spoke about how that’s the college her sister went to and that’s the college her parents wanted her to go to. She was living someone else’s plan and no parent should put that on their child. Guaranteed if she was allowed to choose a school of HER choice she would still be in school. College is not just about academic education. Those 18-22 years of age to just be on the campus, meeting new people, having different responsibilities, it’s a time like no other. And she shouldn’t miss out on that and continue to live at home In arrested development because that’s not what she needs to become a functional adult either.
@Erika-yr8vk3 жыл бұрын
@@Ginger_Spicy_Candor @Avid Book Reader From someone who has their Master's degree, I would strongly state that college is not for everyone! It takes a lot more than just picking a school of your choice vs. the time, effort, dedication, COMMITMENT, and consistency to go through towards completion. So, I would agree to disagree.

So, in the middle of the semester I ended up going online and moving back home where I have my own apartment now. I also decided it would be better for me to just transfer to a school where I live in my city. Good luck out there, we all will do great!

College tips from a junior to add onto Lexi. 1) time management 2.) have a planner they are extremely important even if you dislike them or have some planning strategy 3.) have select study times and set the weekend for your friends. IF your friends want to spend time during the week you can do lunch dates, dinner dates that can also mix studying with it 4.)do max four classes when you have other responsibilities. Five or six will ruin you.

I've graduated college, so I can give my two cents - Take what you want from my comment, leave the rest. How you felt and your poor grades is VERY common for freshman. It is a HUGE adjustment going from being in your safe, structured home to the real world. I cried every day for the 1st few months and went from a straight A HS student to BARELY getting a 2.5 GPA my 1st semester. I hung out too much, studied too little, and was just waaaaay overwhelmed with working and taking care of things I never handled before. But, after the 2nd of semester my freshman year things started to get easier, more familiar and I adjusted very well. You know your needs, but I hope you don't settle too much back into the comfort of your home....You've gotta fly the nest eventually. You need to get that degree - YT won't last forever, so you gotta start on your next phase of life. You won''t be a kid forever, so it's time to grow up. HS is over. Life is gonna be hard, but if you remember others have made it through hard times and you can too, it makes things easier. Best of luck to you!
@KeKe4Christ3 жыл бұрын
Such great advice and my two cents to add to this, is the beauty of college is that it’ll always be there so even if people decide it’s not for them right then and there (especially fresh out of high school, I always recommend gap year) they can always go back or start when they’re truly ready. College can be mentally and emotionally draining too but I believe God has a plan for each and every person and it’s going to be different per person so there’s the beauty in that knowing His will shall always prevail no matter what life plans we try to make. “Take what you want and leave the rest” I’m so using this next time I add my two cents lol. May God bless and keep you. Also, the “YT won’t last forever” was needed because too many people rely on this app as a forever income, especially the 16-25 year old crowd, I mean yeah you can invest from it, have multiple streams via sponsorships and other things but unless you’re investing wisely, this won’t last (as nothing will) forever so I pray for wisdom for everyone depending on KZbin as their sole income.

Watching this video reminded me of myself when I was 18 and if I was honest with myself then, I wouldn’t have gone back to school after moving back home.
