As a former multi-sport athlete and mom, this has always been my biggest fear for myself as a mom. Not the sleeping with my kids boyfriend, obviously, but the living vicariously through my kids. My favorite sports are ones I no longer have the opportunity to do as an adult woman due to either their rarity for women (wrestling and football) or a lack of any adult version in my area (cheerleading, dance, softball) so I’ve always been hyperaware of the potential for me to subconsciously live vicariously through my kids. But after hearing this story I’m realizing I don’t think I ever fully understood how toxic it could get. Makes me extra thankful that my kids are athletically challenged 😅 because I would never ever ever want to put this kind of trauma on them just so I could relive my glory days

You're not to blame. It's your mom's fault primarily, plus male teen hormones. Strike that - male hormones of any age. But for a young guy being seduced by a woman, especially a more mature, experienced woman, it's almost impossible to resist. The mom (and her husband) created these conditions.
