Both definitely sound like the Huayra. But I would say that Driveclub makes it sound more realistic due to the environmental sound around it. In Gran Turismo Sport, I can’t hear much in the background. No wind, nothing. However, I would give the tunnel sound to Gran Turismo Sport. Interior sound, Driveclub sounds more insulated.

GT Sport I love and cars sound good, but Driveclub's sound on a LOT of cars is just about as good as you can get in a video game. The Huayra in Sport does not sound like how a Huayra would actually sound if you got in one and listened. It's way too calm and quiet.

Both are pretty spot on, but Driveclub sound more vivid and natural. It sound like a proper beast. But that´s the way sound in Gt are. Quite spot on, but lacks the proper agresivity. Btw. I hate that no head movement in cockpit view on several tracks in Gt.

Driveclub really captures that real life feel especially in cockpit mode, if it ran at 60fps+ it would be next level gaming. GT sport is up there with graphics and such but I feel the camera modes on the game make it feel stale, there just so stiff and static to the car.

Sense of speed looks almost static in Gt sport after Driveclub video. I wish Polyphony add more head movement/cockpit shake to the mix. It lacks the immersion. Some tracks feel awesome on the other hand (Nordschleife eg.).

Ah. My favorite car to drive in Driveclub. It handles like the P1 (even better), but can be as fast as the Venom GT. It was a nightmare to drive in GT6, tho.

Driveclub will always win and here's why: Evolution recorded the car with much more depth. There were several microphones for different positions. Their method goes beyond what most other racing game developers do. The sound corresponds where the player's camera points, which is impressive. In GTS, PD has recorded only cockpit (it seems), while the sound for other camera positions is digital. This made the sound incredibly lifeless and basic compared to DC. You realize that the sound changes little if you compare the chase, roof and bumper cameras, and this is far from realistic. PD didn't used actual samples for those positions. Evolution did, and that's why Driveclub comes out in front. Final Thoughts: Driveclub has its weaknesses, as for example the constant reverb in the sound. But even so, it is still has far superior than GTS.

Yeah, I've noticed that the flatness in GT's sounds has persisted through to GT Sport; the only difference with GT Sport is that the sounds have much improved engine tones, so they sound less like 'vacuum cleaners'. Overall however, the sounds are still very one-dimensional, as though there's only one layer to the sound. The sounds are also noticeably digital, i.e. they don't have that natural rawness to them and instead sound like they've been synthesised somehow. I'm not denying that the sounds in GT Sport are much improved compared to past games in the series, but they're nowhere near the level of sounds in other games.

Iwannafly I don't think thats true at all. PD also used multiple mic and recorded on different camera position. I'm not really expert on sound simulation I think massive difference between both is art style and how they wanted the sound implemented in the game.

However, to generate the sound of other views they are using a very advanced synthesizer, but you can still tell how digital it is. So far, the results were not good enough to come close the method used in DC.

For sense of speed of you make the correct settings you can actually make it look fantastic. Shirrako's GTSporr videos look stunning. Also despite lacking sense of speed getting a Racing wheel controller and just plugging it in and playing. It's pretty fun. That goes for any simcade/sim

Big time, Drive Club did well, but wasn'y enough to save Evolution Studios, that and Sony rushed them on the games development, they were shut down left and were picked up by Codemasters to create a spin off of Motorstorm and even that failed.
