I really enjoyed driving this one. If I remember it correctly, this one had less than 50.000 kilometers on the odometer. And as a museum-car it's in an excellent condition.

@German Retro Guy Aren’t all ae86 multilink suspension? I mean every version whether it’s jdm, euro or usdm has a solid rear axle held in place with 5 links, 4 (forward facing) and 1 vertical (panhard bar).

Habe mir das Auto ( Corolla GT 16V ) in 1988 neu gekauft.. Bin sowohl Autos mit Heck- / Frontantrieb gefahren und war damals 29 Jahre alt Mein vorheriges Auto war ein Renault Alpine Turbo mit 112 PS .. Eigentlich von der Form und der damaligen Fahrleistung ein gutes Auto. Aber im Winter ( mit zusätzlichem Gewicht auf der Hinterachse ) nur schwer fahrbar bei mir im Sauerland. Aber das ausschlaggebende Argument für eine vorzeitige Trennung nach ca. 1 Jahr war die Rückkehr aus Köln über die A4 . Auf kurzen Bodenwellen auf der Autobahn bei Tempo 190 km/h hat sich der Wagen so aufgeschaukelt, das ich fast die Kontrolle verloren hätte. Danach habe ich den Wagen sofort verkauft.. P.s. ; Auch die Ersatzteilpreise sowie die Kosten für Inspektionen fand ich damals extrem hoch. LG Thomas

Hallo Thomas, vielen Dank fürs Anschauen. Und auch für deine Einsichten. So schnell bin ich bei der Produktion des Videos nicht unterwegs gewesen. Ich habe den Corolla dafür sehr auf den Landstraßen genossen. Und das hat richtig Spaß gemacht; kann aber nachvollziehen, warum Du den Wagen verkauft hast. Sofern Du es noch nicht getan hast, würde ich mich über ein Abo für meinen Kanal freuen. Auch in diesem Jahr wird es weitere Filme geben! Viele Grüße Attila

Der AE86 war mein zweites Auto. Ich liebe ihn bis heute. Allerdings ist es eines der Fahrzeuge, die wirklich das Sportfahrwerk und den Heckspoiler/ -flügel gebraucht haben Damit hatte ich nie vergleichbare Probleme. Und ich bin regelmäßig die A8, A3 und A9 mit hohen Geschwindigkeiten gefahren.

Just a suggestion, maybe try something else with the AE86 like 0-60, braking, quarter-mile, slalom, engine sound or something like that?

@@lgz2006 Thanks for your subscription, that's helping a lot! And I agree on your stylistic preference, also the car is a ton of fun to drive even when it's numbers aren't to impressive. On the measurements it's kind of difficult. When an OEM hands out a car they want to know in detail what you planned. And than I'm not the guy to trick around. When this channel grows a little further I have ideas like yours. For example, this Toyota would pair well with a Porsche 924. But that's another song.
