My mother had one in 1988 and it was the same color. I was in high school at the time and I used to borrow it when I was delivering pizzas, because of the good gas mileage. The other thing I really liked about that car, was that the A/C was ice cold. I still remember that distinct bell sound on startup!

Wow, AC? La de dah! My AC in mine was the window, and there was plenty of A but no C!!! Still, got me through college. And to Vegas at midnight without getting killed by bored truckers.

My parents had a light yellow one with tan interior. Vinyl seats, three speed auto, just basic reliable transportation until the heads warped due to my mom not being able to move the car out of traffic in time.

Hey dude! I currently own the '88 Sentra sedan, too! It is almost just exactly the same as yours, except the paint color. Mine's silver, however the paint is fading out and rims are starting to rust :(

Arrival of my 1988 Nissan Sentra 4-Door Sedan. This is one of the cars that made me want to become a car designer, and it's a delightful, innovative design. This particular red paint had a significant effect on me in that it taught me how to render warm to cool transitions. Because the styling surfaces are almost mirror-flat, and the red has a lot of blue in its hue, the car often shows a dramatic shift from blue horizontal surfaces (cool) to red vertical surfaces (warm.) As a kid this gave me the epiphany that blue reflection could overpower red pigment. I would stare at this car and try to render the red to blue shift. BryanThompsonDesign.com
