FYI, in Preferences > Seeking (submenu under Audio) you can set it to smooth seek when you jump to different regions. It can either happen at the next measure, or once it reaches the next marker/region. I'm about to try out your script. It looks incredible!

The fact that I randomly stumbled upon this comment will no doubt save me a potential headache when making a custom midi mapping for live looping in Reaper. Thank you, random internet stranger.

At the start of the video, you say that the Push 2 is being used as an example, but all features covered in the video are available on supported devices, including the Launchpad. At 1:38, you push an "add track" button to access track templates in Reaper. How do I do that on the Lauchpad mkII? Or is this feature not supported on that device? I know how to add tracks in the mixer view using the three green buttons in the upper right hand corner (inst, audio, effect). But I don't see a way to create a new track based on track templates as you do in this video. Thanks for any insight you can offer!

This feature is not available on the Launchpad. What I meant with this sentence is that if a feature is supported on a device in Bitwig (e.g. scenes) than it will work as explained in the video with Reaper.

Reaper is not Bitwig and Ableton, so I am afraid this is not possible.

This option has been a Reaper feature for a long time. And now thanks to Jürgens script, it should work seamlessly. You can set this up in Preferences > Seeking. You can set it to "Smooth Seek" and the play head moves either at the next measure, or when it reaches the next marker/region. Going to try this out now!

First of all thank you for taking to time to make such a great video. Is it okay if I use your video as a reference when I ask cuckoos to make an option to change regions smoother? There needs to be a way to let a region play all the way through (meaning the region will not change until the start of the loop) so the switching transition will be smooth like you are trying to do at 10:29. If someone plays different instruments its not really possible to wait for the perfect moment to press switch and catch the beat on your instrument. I would like to contact cuckoos to check if their is an option to change this or will they create one. Again thank you very much this video is excellent!

probably we need the midi scripting support before this can be implemented.

totally appreciate whole effort put into that, but without having Launches and Scenes first-class citizen of a DAW like in abletone or bitwig -- launchpad-like devices just not fit there unfortunately is really bad what the absence of affordable or free DAWs in those areas basically forcing people to learn dirty tricks of Java to get themselves some direct workaround to that global problem
