Adventure. Nothing beats that. And what a blessing to share it with a like-minded and supportive father. Not all has that in their lives.

Can you walk through how off-roading is in the manual Jeep JL? Thinking about getting one myself. Also is there hill ascent assist?
@drivenmad20894 жыл бұрын
Vance Leon yeah man that’s a good idea 👍🏻 Thanks for watching!

My FJ Cruiser is manual and the best way to get up a hill is to engage the emergency brake, hold in the button, and then begin the process of gas and clutch while slowly letting out the E-brake. Works every time.

Man, those sky shots were awesome, did you ever get to see the stars at night? I think knowing what equipment is worthwhile taking when overloading would be very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

Noticed the crack in the windshield, does that happen a lot?
@drivenmad20893 жыл бұрын
Actually for me it happened on the way to big bend(here) and once on my way to Moab. Other than that I didn’t get any from my normal day to day driving. But it definitely can happen frequently. Thanks for watching!

If you really wanted to you could do it on a unicycle but you have a 4 wheeler so use it.

Great video as usual. Always lots of talk about airing down but never see anyone air up. What are you carrying for that task?
@drivenmad20893 жыл бұрын
I had a little portable air compressor that I bought at lowes for $40. It worked for about a 2 years then finally broke haha wasn’t really designed to air up tires 33” and up
@thokozanimkhize69534 жыл бұрын
Please advise why you air down the tires, I've seen other videos doing that but I don't know why 😅

I have a 2 door Jk do you know what the difference is between them?
@drivenmad2089 Жыл бұрын
Quite a bit. Highlights would be, slightly longer wheelbase, different body panels all together, new transmission for both manual and auto each considerably better than the JK, a completely different interior not even close to the same haha especially with the new ‘24 model that just came out. And if I’m not mistaken they are about 200lbs lighter than an equivalent JK. Hope that helped

do you recommend cables for your tires when off-roading?
@drivenmad20894 жыл бұрын
Mars - Wolf Tv what do you mean? Cables to hold your tires???
@lukescholey58724 жыл бұрын
I think they’re referring to chains like when driving in snow.. the answer would be no. A nice set of All Terrain or Mud Tires depending on the terrain.
@mars-wolftv82814 жыл бұрын
when I bought my wrangler the dealership suggested I use cables instead of chains when off roading lol. im not too sure what he meant honestly
@AustinH73 жыл бұрын
@@mars-wolftv8281 does he mean synthetic cable Winch instead of a regular steel rope winch?

You drive the real jeep 2 DOOR. It takes some ingenuity to pack it up and make it work for what your needing. Those JLU'S are 4 wheel drive station wagons or school buses. Not a fan. Make your 2 door do what it was built for........................ EVERYTHING!
