Changes not told in this video:
- The "Negative ID" cop speech line can be heard ingame unlike the final version where you can only find it in the files. It occurs when cops are entering the stopping radius.
- Falling underwater does not make screen fade out.
- The big rigs from Caine's Compound can be selected in the vehicle selection screen in Take a Ride Chicago (that's the "car graphic to be placed" screenshot) but you can't move it, it's stuck.

In 2015 I started a topic in the Driver Madness forum, the title was Driver 2 Different Version, I was referring exactly to this version, I had the CD in 2003, strange things happened, cutscenes with the tanner running, there were no buses and neither firetrucks in chicago, except in the accident of the Chase the train mission, only chance to find the school bus, infinite time missions Escape to your safe house, Chase the intruder with an easy route from Jericho's car, but one of the strangest things that I I remember, when tanner approached on foot a barrier of cops in chicago his body is half invisible and he made a gesture of pointing a gun at the cops, immediately the felony bar goes up. I'm not lying, Driver 2 is my favorite game, I'm happy to see this video talking about this version. We need this ISO to discover many things that are unknown in these 20 years. Eae Milo beleza? Rapaz eu tive essa versão Pre-Release la pra 2003~2004 também e simultaneamente eu tinha a versão final, eu sempre achei estranho o porque dessa versão ser diferente, de não ter o ônibus escolar, caminhão de bombeiros, carro forte em chicago, a Kombi em Havana, até então pensava ser uma versão hackeada do jogo, até me falarem que era essa Pre-Release. O que mais me marcava nessa versão era a possibilidade de desativar a policia indo no menu de subtitles e colocando em "On". Legal saber que eu não era o único BR a possuir essa versão nessa época.

The Felony on foot can be done on any mission in Havana. It's just that area that causes the felony on foot to happen. I have a video on this on my channel. Leaving Chicago is still rainy night in the pre-release. The game hasn't been set up to use the night skybox when it is raining at night and uses rainy day by default since dawn and dusk use the rainy day skybox when it rains at dawn and dusk.

Hello! Greetings from Brazil! I had this Pre-Release version of Driver 2 when I was a kid, in 2003 or 2004 (I don't remember the exactly year), here in BR the game was never officially released, the Disc I had was a pirated media, I don't have any idea how this version came to Brazil, until then I thought it was a hack ROM, i never thought it was a Beta version. What most impressed me in this version was the possibility to deactivate the police chases if you activate the subtitles. This video deserves a lot of likes!!!!

Imagine if we could get beta versions of games now. Thankfully I still have an xbox series X so if I insert the disc and don't install any patches I'm very often playing 2 or 3 month old versions of games that they never intended us to see. Best example is cyberpunk 2077 it's very broken and funny if you play the pre release version. Recently played dying light 2 3 month old version and was disappointed when I stated it up and it played absolutely fine I was expecting bugs but nope.

Driver 2 PS1 is fairly accessible through second hand copy, then you can extract the files on your PC and play the enhanced PC port version!

I can´t do the mission to tail jericho, the game crashes on this pre release. Any advice?

It's a known issues, I don't remember if there is a workaround or if you need to skip that mission.

There are parts of the world where almost every games are unofficial version. Luckily in that case, it meant beta version! But to be honest, we have no clear answer about that.
