Think I've said this before, but I will say it again: Thew view of the entire Las Vegas Strip in Driver 2 is phenomenal! You know the devs poured their heart into making all of those intricate buildings look and feel massive when playing OG Driver 2, and making the strip feel more alive. Then having OpenDriver really show the the full picture like this just puts everything into perspective, it's crazy. You can also see the different techniques the devs used to keep resources down enough for everything to load in properly on PS1 hardware, like the Eiffel Tower being cut down to where you would only see it, ect ect. But still making the player feel like they are in a bustling, heavy traffic area. Just fantastic! Still my favorite Driver game, and it keeps getting better! Great vid as always Vortex!

For ReDriver 2 has reached its final state according to Soapy But Open Driver could support missions, online coop, etc... but this things take time

One thing that'd probably be a huge pain to do would be to get rid of invisible walls

Why would you need to get rid of them? Also, as it is reverse engineered, I believe they have more flexibility in regards to the code, including what is and what is not an invisible wall (this is very bad explained )

Unless there isn't much invisible walls in Rio, it is easy to pilot the helicopter there without hitting any of them

The Driver Syndicate is a much more older project than Open Driver. Soapy is still working on both of them but these things take time you can still support the project tho!

What do you mean by intensive? In disc space, they are the same as the original so around 700 mb and open driver specific files are a few mb

Even PS2 games didn't have this type of draw distance. In OD2, there is no LOD, everything is displayed at all times (which would cause some optimization issues when more things will be added but well)
