Love that there are so many…… passionate views out there. The miss hits are part of the bracket as much as they are part of play on the golf course. We called it before the match started that this one would be really close and so it proved to be. Congrats to Srixon 👏🏻

Ian-- I think you'd have to agree that the Srixon in that current setup would be pretty dicey on the course due to the sub 2k spin. All I am saying are those really low left ones would be big time trouble on the course. so its hard for me to say the ZX5 LS won for you. I know I know, you guys have to perform a test and there would be 100 different ways you could do it so you have to pick one. So I won't pile on anymore. I guess I have been burnt way too many times on the monitor. one for example was a super light weight Cobra Fmax Airspeed driver that spun at 1600 for me and all I did was hit but push hooks that went for days. Longest distance I have ever seen out of a driver on a monitor. got one in with the same setup and on the course it lasted all of one round as I couldn't keep it on the map being 2 fairways to the left. Ball just fell out of the sky. I feel like that was the ZX5 LS today

@@erock1070 I don’t disagree. I’m certainly not changing my gamer to The Srixon based on this test, it’s less than a dozen shots with each Driver. That’s why the Bracket is designed FOR FUN.

@@jpxst180s6 I am not saying the Srixon was a bad driver; any driver today when properly fit is going to work well. all I was saying was I think the low left miss of the Srixon would be trouble on the course for Ian and how that configured club went for him. with the way they are testing it, the couple of long low spin ones trumped the more consistent TSR3, for him. But like Ian said, I shouldn't dive into all of the mechanics of the test as this is just a for Fun test. At least its refreshing that they are not trying to push any certain OEM with biasing the test

Don’t pay much attention to this their goal is to sell you more clubs. Look at Ian’s TSR 3 numbers in the past he’s hitting it worse now. Exact same club but he’s hitting it worse this year. If this video is just for fun and content that's fine but don't take the bracket too seriously for your next driver purchase. If you compare his average numbers from old videos with similar swing speed to the Srixon, TSR 3 still wins.

So a couple things on the testing methodology. First off, take 5-10 min and at least try and self fit each of the 8 heads. That way you give the head its best chance of succeeding. Just because a shaft works in Head A doesn't mean it works in head B. You guys know that better than anyone. Next up, there needs to be more of a penalty for hitting offline. If the ball goes off the grid mark it off -40 pts etc. That Srixon would be unplayable on a Course with sub 2k spin and all of the toey dippers. Rooting for the shot to miss the grid is flawed as well.

The brand snobbery in the comments says it all. The ZX5 LS has rated in top 3-5 drivers across countless reviews over the last year and still folk are more interested in the badge. Huge amount of non contract tour players play Srixon irons, which are some of the best feeling irons on the market. Even more have the utility irons in the bag. Srixon even won more majors than Taylor made last year😂 Maybe if folk look at these results and others and think about trying brands they haven’t previously they might find something that helps their game, or they can continue to go around with their head up their arse and worry about the logo🤷🏻‍♂️

Not to say the tsr3 isn’t forgiving but personally for someone who is scratch, I don’t hit the middle of the face every time. Where I struggled with my tsr3 when I mis hit it is the spin jumps all over the place and I think that was shown here in this video. My tsr2 manages spin on mishits much better and I think that’s why some really high speed guys like Ludvig Aberg and Gordon Sargent play the tsr2 when I think most woikd expect them to be in the 3

Everyone is making excuses for the TSR3, but if Ians swing was off, that means it was off for the Srixon too so those results should also improve if it was Ians swing on the day. The bracket is for fun, they have separate dedicated reviews for each club that go in depth for a reason. If a Taylormade driver won the bracket everyone who got fit into a different club would still have their reasoning for why that club is better for them. Lighten up a bit and take this as a sign that Srixon might be slept on in the west and its actually a really good club

True test would be with a robot. Each driver swung at 85, 95, 105, 115 mph because I am thinking each model with their different version will perform different based off different swing speeds. Then, we hit all at 9 points: toe high middle low, middle high middle low, toe high middle low. With this, we can get more specific in picking a driver base on our personal misses. This results are specific too Ian swing.

Not with my geriatric swing, "hitting the screws" is problematic. I'm very thankful for the technological explosion of the last few decades. So I'm extremely disappointed you have not included the Mizuno ST230 MAX Driver in your test bracket. Askgolfnut, arguably the best of the KZbin reviewers, gives ST MAX Rave Reviews. I'm getting my final driver this spring, choosing distance first and forgiveness a close second. Could you Please add a playoff between the Mizuno ST 230Z and the Mizuno ST 230 MAX for 7th place? Please !!!

I would love to see this bracket with slower swings around 95 mph

Same here. Throw in all of the Max drivers from each lineup, Cleveland Launcher XL2, Tour Edge and a couple of std heads minus the Low spinning ones. Then another cool one would be to pick someone who slices the ball and do a test with all of the draw biased drivers. Ping SF Tec, Darkspeed Max with weight in the heel, Cobra Air X Offset, Cleveland XL2 Draw, etc

As you edit the video, you should put in the half-time score so it's more exciting. We would see if a comeback is possible. You could edit a shot by shot score into the video as well. Have a scorecard in the corner

I play Srixon irons and I'm pretty happy with them but until Brooks puts a Srixon driver in the bag I'll stick with my Tsr2 driver.

Forget the numbers - when you look at the straightness of the ball flight and also take into account that the tester clearly had a few more poor shots with the Titleist than with the Srixon, you’d take the TSR3 every time. If you want to resolve a test purely using numbers, you need to get a robot to swing the clubs.

I have an F9. I think it's time for an upgrade. Looking for value... not necessarily a brand new model year driver, but it could be if it's worth it this year. I've been out of the loop on club tech the past few years. What should I be looking at? I would prioritize forgiveness and consistency over pure distance.

Based on watching way too many of these tests and reviews, Ping are always the forgiveness champs. G400, G410, G425 and G430 would all be worth a look.

Well in this case, the Titelist is his gamer driver so its always going to feel more comfortable and familiar no matter what

Great job guys, I think it’d be awesome if you both hit each driver and average the scores to eliminate and bias if one of you happen to simply not do well with one head. Still good content though

The King is dead. Long live the King. Mikey looks shattered 😅. Don't worry Mikey. The TSR could come last but still be the best gamer driver for you 😊.
