Trottie is great for promo, but I'd trust TXG with my clubs like they were my kids. Just look at the way Micah Morris has been through like 5 shafts already since signing with TaylorMade... Ian and Mikey get it right.

Going through this process right now with a used TSi3 I just picked up. Love the adjustability aspect of it so I can really dial in my swing One of the shocking differences I discovered lately has been the swing weight. Apparently I need a lighter weight (6g) than the one it came with (12g). It has made a much bigger difference than I expected

Mac Boucher seems like a really good dude. I'm sure a round with him would be a blast. Crazy that the guy can curve the ball like that with any club. Straight shots are just boring anyways LOL.

I don't know if this is possible, but seeing a TM guy like Mac get fit for the new TM gear and a Callaway guy like JDub be fit for the new Callaway gear each release would be a pretty cool way to see the gear in action.

19:10, this is the value of a great fitting and a great fitter. You don’t need to do a fitting to be quoted a $1k driver/shaft combo. You can use the time to optimize what you have and explore options, a good fitter will/should do this for you.
@adamspencer9280
@adamspencer9280 10 ай бұрын
Totally agree. Of course Mac's Speeder Platinum (RRP USD 599.00) and a Stealth plus is a USD 1k combo to start with. But in those cases it's even more important your fitter takes the time to tune your current hefty investment.

You should try and do a video series with Lexi Thompson. I just heard her bag is full of older clubs from various years. 2015 even. Similar to your Paige series. I thought that was informative.

I don’t know if you can make suggestions but I love your knowledge on all the clubs. I have been struggling with driver and used to be accurate. I am using Callaway st max at 10.5 to help save me. When I hit a straight drive it is ballooning up but am pull hooking it most of the time. Is the drop loft stiffer shaft the best option? Or do I I try a less left bias driver?
@clubchampionmedia
@clubchampionmedia 10 ай бұрын
Hey Larry, To figure out for sure what's going on, you should go find your nearest Club Champion and get fit! With that said, if the club is ballooning on you, you may want to try lowering the loft which will open the head slightly. Outside of that, going to a more fade-bias driver is a good potential solution, or even playing a lower-spinning golf ball could help. Good luck!

@@slade_golfagain, I went through a swing change to neutralize my delivery. I see Ian a couple times a year to dial things in. Trottie lives on the west coast and I don’t have access to him all the time. We never actually did a fitting with Trottie. It was a testing of the new head that’s it.

No one wants to watch a 18 handicap struggle to hit a ball straight. The fitting doesn’t do much because their delivery is extreamly inconsistent. You need better players to get more accurate fittings and not just be guessing based on the 1 or 2 good ones a weaker player hits

As entertaining as Mac is with his creativity, all I can see and hear is the golfing crowds holding up banners and singing "Wild Thing". Gone are the days where the golfer would open or close their stance, strengthen or weaken their grip, physically open or close the club face, move the ball forward or back in their stance at address when it came to shot-shaping. The club is clearly more important and Seve is doing somersaults somewhere in Salamanca.
